OH MY GOD THIS TOOK SO LONG but it was worth it! I really wanted to try my hand at writing a short little comic form Brain’s perspective and about some of his feelings towards Pinky - and lucky me, i just got it done in time for valentine’s day! :)) 

I hope you guys have a good valentine’s day and feel appreciated by ALL your loved ones - friends, family, partners alike <33

Yes, protective Brain is what I like to see! Future Brain genuinely enjoying Pinky’s cheesecake is adorable. He misses Pinky’s cooking. 

Also, future!Brain believes he’s protecting his past self from heartbreak and we don’t know what exactly happened with him and Pinky, so that ramps up the mystery even more. Also, if it were just a simple breakup, I don’t believe future!Brain would’ve gone so far to try and kill Pinky, then try to drag his past self into the portal with him. 

I just love Brain’s expression when Future!Brain reveals that Pinky ‘betrayed him’. I believe Brain was telling the truth about never believing Future!Brain at the episode’s end. He’s learned that Pinky wouldn’t betray him already. We’ve had episodes that dug into this before. 

Also I just love that bit when Pinky’s holding him and Brain pats his head and says ‘and you are Pinky’. So sweet.
