“Special cup."

Oh the beautiful memories that came with this cup. The endless minutes of screaming at the screen while doing the forever frustrating as shit track, Rainbow Road. Not to mention Moonview Highway, being pushed off to the side and squashed by a car every time you tried to avoid them was always part of the fun.

The brunette let out a somewhat aggravated sigh (or groan I have no clue) as the select screen for the races appeared and oh look Special Cup was apart of them. Hovering the Wii cursor over it she selected the first race, Dry Dry Ruins. This was probably her favorite race out of the whole Special Cup race tracks. She knew this track by heart and wasn't going to let Archer win so easily.

The little jingle at the beginning of a race rang from the TV as the characters were shown at the starting line. Hers was in last place while Archer's was in 11th place. "Heh, not for long~". The little guy on the cloud appeared as the traffic lights dangled from his hands. Then the countdown began.

2... As soon as the 2 was about to disappear Kotone held down the 2 button on the Wii remote as something good would happen.

1...

GO!

The traffic light turned green on the screen and her Koopa blasted off as the boost from the beginning kicked in.

"I hope you're ready to get beaten Archer!" Kotone said as she started tilting her Wii remote to the side, controlling her Koopa around the curves and over obstacles.

Laughing at his own imperiousness, he tossed the girl’s pillow to the floor. Easily pressing a button to select the character he had almost always chosen for games, King Boo appeared on the screen diagonal from Kotone’s choice of character.

"Hey what race do you wanna do first?"

Easy answer. “Special cup."

He cocked a grin in her direction. Just in case she was thinking of underestimating his Mario Kart skills. Just in case she believed she would be able to easily take him down without a struggle. Special Cup held his favorite tracks anyhow, as well as the infamous Rainbow Road. Perhaps Kotone enjoyed the course as much as he did.

Best not get too competitive. It was simply just a child’s video game anyhow.

Hoping that he wouldn’t become to uncomfortable in his position, the executive pushed himself upwards on to the couch. The discomfort of the floor would become distracting, and he wouldn’t get the full Mario Kart experience.

He would just have to try to not show too much immaturity— he was an executive of a criminal organization, after all. Getting too comfortable around others was a no. Though if it involved a game of Mario Kart with your enemy—

That was completely fine.

Hm? Was that a challenge she heard? "Yeah right buddy!" Kotone said sprinting even faster than before. Although while running she may have miscalculated where she put her feet and she may have tripped over them. She landed face first on the ground doing a forward roll onto her butt.

"Ow...."

"Unova! Well, Aspertia City, to be exact…"

"You want me to show you around or something? I mean, it’s obvious you have no clue about this place."

He runs off, leaving Kotone barely able to keep up with him.
