you for the world by iamsomebody - this is one of the few ongoing satosugu fics that im reading so if anyone has any other ongoing ones to rec then please send them my way bc they’re few and far between. i just love the characterisations here. college au. geto is a tattoo artist. gojo is a little shit. the bickering is top tier and really realistic to how i imagine their first interactions went
stepping into his galaxy by coudric - one shot that’s written so smoothly and beautifully that it hardly felt that i was reading, it just felt like i was there. it’s set during their time at the college and before everything went to shit and follows satoru’s pov and specifically his relationship to being touched. i see this fic as canon you can take it from my cold dead hands
foolhardy by eludis - much the same vibe as the above fic because i have a type, in that it follows their college days and has a good healthy amount of sss trio shenanigans, but it also is more geto-centric and delves into his mental psyche a lot more. the ending also made me tear up which is very rare for me. again, i consider this canon and at any given moment will think of ‘14,444 steps east of Jujutsu Tech. 260 steps south.’ genius showstopping beautiful inspired
falling through infinity by teawriter - this one is a lot more mellow bc this is satosugu we’re talking about and even i can’t run away from the angst on my happy little fix-it fic train, but holy shit the writing. the blurb alone was stunning and i couldn’t not read it, and it surrounds one of my favourite poems of all time that i will never be able to see now without thinking of these idiots
ashes in the snow by dgurei - while this one is TECHNICALLY satosugu, it’s more focused on satoru and shoko dealing with their grief together. it’s just written really well, like nothing overly flowery and yet it just punches you right in the gut. im a sucker for anything with shoko and the boys and this one really stuck with me
the genealogy of morals by potatototer - this one made me laugh out loud but is also like ‘i should NOT be laughing but that just makes it funnier’ you know? it’s a very lighthearted take on geto’s turmoil and crimes god how the fuck do i explain this im-. basically he still does Bad Shit but gojo is 100% chill with it and also it’s funny?? read for a laugh basically. there’s one haibara joke from gojo that made me actually choke
prom night by sixeyedsoul - god i fucking LOVE this fic. stsg break into a high school prom and rig the ballots to become prom kings. full of stupidity but also a lovely amount of affection and pining. let the kids be kids god fucking dammit
two drifters, off to see the world by quietkids - jesus mary and joseph. fucking hell. mother of fuckers. i am shouting at the sky i am kicking down the gates of heaven and asking to fight god. this fic is THE saddest thing i have ever fucking read. it felt like a weight sat itself on my chest from the first few sentences and didn’t leave long after i finished reading. it’s stunning and provoking and just so fucking respectful of the true tragedy of their relationship. and the saddest part is that the entire timeline is canon. none of this is exaggerated or ooc. they just ARE that tragic. i think about this fic a lot. please please if you like satosugu you HAVE to read this i feel like this description didn’t do it justice at all because thinking about it honestly reduces me into a pitiful mess. just. read it
