Can you make a pattern from star trek tapestry? It’s one of my father in law’s favorites and want to make him something for his birthday

Blog Update

Hello, cross stitchers!

I know you may be surprised to hear from me, as this blog has been largely inactive since I started college full-time in 2022. However, as of this summer, I am now a college graduate!

Since finishing classes, I've suddenly had free time for hobbies again, including creating some new cross stitch patterns. Going forward, I'm going to try to post a new pattern here at least once a month, though I can't promise more than that once I start working full-time in September.

As for the kinds of patterns you'll see, my primary focus right now is on creating patterns that I can hang in my new classroom. As such, I'm going to be expanding my First Lines series, with a special focus on children's literature. I may return to the Boldly Go series at some point, but I won't be posting those patterns on any kind of regular schedule like I was during the pandemic.

I will still be taking requests (as well as responding to the requests I missed while inactive), but I ask that no one request anything time sensitive, as I don't know for sure how much time I'll have to work on them after I start working.

Excited to be back and making art again!

Our creature this month is the Minoan Octopus! This specific type of Octopus was featured on marine themed vases crafted by Minoan artisans. As mentioned when discussing the myth of the Ketos, Perseus, and Andromeda, the most famous mytical octopus-like creature, the tentacled Kraken, isn’t actually from Greek mythology. This octopus was too charming to leave out! Its place in the history of Ancient Greek pottery and the style as it developed is important enough to be the base of our Grecian Urn.
