Having the camera back in my hands is great, now to really spend some time learning to use the settings and not always using ‘Auto’.

There comes a lot of learning but it’s ok because I’ve got the time and a wiling subject to run around while I change the settings and find which ones work.The’re not always gonna be perfect (as you can see above) but I’ve just got the hang of shutter speed so that’s a win by my cards.

Gotcha.

Now this guy, I know when he wants to go outside, I know when he’s thirsty, I know when he’s bored- all because he’s actually quite emotive.

What I’ll never understand is bath time. He doesn't really like it and given that the first bath he ever had was getting paint and petrol off him (he’s a rescue dog, no idea on his background) I’m no too surprised that he avoids the bathtub like the vet’s office.

I can put him in, wash him down and just about keep him there to rinse him but trying to dry him, good luck! He used to happily lay down and let us dry him but recently he’s having none of it.

Add in the fact that he’s full of beans 24/7 (even after being neutered 5 months ago) it’s hard to catch him to make sure he’s not sitting in his cold, damp fur all evening!

We’re still learning with this little guy and he’s still learning with us.

No matter what though, we love him heaps and can’t wait for the next bath time.

This week begins the trial that is studying for a real qualification.

I began my Occupational Health & Safety HDip last week and have been given 32 pages to read in a week. I know it’s not a lot but it’s on law (UK to be specific) and I’ve no clue.

I’ve been using this brilliant app, StudyBlue to do up my flashcards after I’m finished a chapter. This encourages me to re-read and the content and understand it before creating a card.

I’ve also started voice recording some of the pages to listen to in the car on the way to work. I’m not sure how this is going to go down but we’ll give it a shot and maybe something will stick.

I’m honestly really very excited about the course. I’m not 100% keen on having to meet the new people on the course, it’s kind of difficult when I’m out of my comfort zone and on my own- whereas if I was coaching a derby class I’d have no issue approaching or being approached by new people (strange).

Anyway, off to bed now as I’m knackered after the weekend and need to be on top of it in work tomorrow.
