ok i just want to talk about this because it bothers me on so many levels.

why are some ARMYs so disgusted by Rapmon’s face??

I mean i don’t know if you know people like that but it’s just really rude and I don’t think it’s right to think that way.

First of all, Rap Monster is BTS’ leader so he plays a big role in the group. Everybody does have a big role but we can see RM making extra efforts for BTS to be successful. It’s not even funny when you make fun of his face or you compare him to the other members. He gets hurt, okay? I just find it really rude that after everything he has done for us and for BTS, that’s the only thing you notice about him. RM is a big part of our lives as ARMYs and it’s such a shame if you call yourself an ARMY yet you DON’T LIKE RAP MONSTER. I’m so annoyed by fans that only appreciate jungkook, v, jimin, jhope, suga & jin and throw so much shade on rap mon as if he is a waste of time in the group and he does nothing for the victory of it. Just to let you know, we love BTS not because of their appearance. Not because of their face or their body or all their physical aspects but their talent. We came here to support their talents. We don’t love BTS only because of their face, okay? Then if we do, they should’ve been models instead of idols, right? If you’re just obsessed about jungkook or v, then you should call yourselves a Jungkook stan instead, right? Why even claim that you’re an ARMY when there’s an exception on your support?

There are so many things to love about Rap Monster and if you can’t see any of that, then there’s definitely something wrong with you.

If you can’t accept what Rapmon is or if you ‘don’t like’ his face or if you think he’s ‘ugly’, then don’t even think about considering yourself an ARMY. You’re a disgrace in the fandom. Show some respect at least. I’m getting tired of seeing Rap Monster getting so much hate just because his face isn’t ideal for some of you.

Fans cause server crashes trying to grab tickets to BTS' upcoming concert

The power of BTS’ fans have been shown once again! Tickets to BTS’ upcoming concert ‘2015 BTS LIVE’, which went on sale on September 16 at 8pm KST, sold out right away! Well, first, the server went down, and as soon as the server came back up, all tickets were said to be sold!

The concert series to be held in November will include performances from their hit album 'The Most Beautiful Moment in Life’ pt.1 as well as pt.2, which will be out in October.

More specifically, the concerts will take place at Olympic Park’s 'SK Handball Arena’ on November 27 at 8pm KST, November 28 at 5pm KST and November 29 at 4pm KST.

I can’t believe Namjoon is gettin’ hate for appearing on running man. are we at it again ? yeah ? okay, some of you need to hear a few things. first of all, I don’t understand how as a fan you can even be mad at him for that. no matter the member you should just enjoy it, I understand you probably want you personal bias to get more exposure but they’re slowly gettin’ there. do you think Namjoon’s only doing this for himself ? he knows appearing on those shows will also put the spotlight on bangtan, he knows this is as much good for him as for his group. do you really think he’d choose his personal glory over bangtan’s ? you should know better. after the 4things show prank where he chose bangtan over a solo career without hesitation, yes you should know better. that everything he does he mostly does it for bts. second, if Namjoon’s appearing much more on tv shows now it’s ‘cause producers of those shows want him to. they ask him to. they invite him to be a part of it. they see potential in him, whether you like it or not, to be a great entertainer and worthy of major attention, and also qualified to keep up with the hard task of grabbing the audience’s attention. it’s not him or bighit putting him forward, it’s producers actually interested enough to offer him amazing opportunities to stand out for some time, among hundreds of idols just as worthy as him. now how cool does that sound ? and you’re still mad he gained this ? ‘cause yes, he gained it, he didn’t stole it, he put lots of efforts and sacrifices in it and he deserved it. every bangtan members does, and there’s no competition between the seven of them so why should you be the ones making it sound like there is ? you have to realize that this is extremely important and good for bangtan’s future, that this will give them all attention, that this is not only for Namjoon it’s also for the entire group. and Im sure they know it very well. do you now ?

So I was told that due to this post a lot of people were upset at Jungkook/sending him hateful comments on Twitter.

First of all, I don't know how accurate this is. How do you count the time distribution when there are background vocals/falsetto? I'm not saying it's completely wrong, but it's not the most accurate.

Secondly, Jungkook does not CHOOSE the line distribution. He sings what he is told to by the producers/BigHit. He does not purposefully "take all the lines" from Jin/Jimin/V. HOW CAN YOU BLAME HIM FOR SOMETHING HE HAS NO CONTROL OVER?? Please be more practical.

Lastly, I'm not sure if you noticed but Jungkook is the "main vocal" of bangtan. He's highly talented and that doesn't take anything away from anyone. Just because he's talented and gets to sing a lot does NOT mean that BigHit thinks any of the other boys are less talented. I wish the line distribution was more fair but songs are not made with that in mind. They are made/produced so the person with the voice / tone can sing certain parts.

I understand your frustrations but please stop taking it out on the boys. This is beyond them. And even if it's not, it's not about bias or talent but rather about music and the effect they want to achieve with their music.

Problems Regarding Rapmon

Recently there’s been an incident of Namjoon calling Taehyung and Hoseok “too black”. He cracked a joke about how he couldn’t see them because it was too dark. This joke can be considered offensive because honestly speaking it’s racist and colorist. But, we also have to remember that in Korea jokes like that aren’t considered offensive. It’s just like an everyday joke. What if you had a short friend and were like “haha I can see over you” or smth? Obviously, you don’t mean it. Let’s remember that a joke like that can be offensive because it’s criticizing something someone can’t change about themself. So, if rapmon’s joke is colorist, what is a height joke? Heightist? The reason skin color jokes are so offensive right now is because of the current political situation in countries like America where African Americans are still being discriminated by the police force. Right now, that isn’t an issue in Korea. Why? Because Korea isn’t that diverse. There aren’t a lot of black people; which makes color an issue that isn’t offensive there. None of this justifies what Rapmon said, but it’s just a reminder of why he could’ve thought it was okay to say something like that. Do you guys really think he thinks less of V and J-hope just because they have darker skin color? Obviously not. And remember American Hustle? He obviously doesn’t hate or have any kind of problem with black people.

If we want to stop him from staying stuff like this we can post constructive criticism on his social media and tell him that we feel offended, but let’s remember not to say hateful things like “you should die” because that isn’t going to solve anything.

This is spot on. It’s hurtful for Koreans when people from America point out jokes like these and then criticize us harshly for us. The first emotion we feel is honestly confusion. To us, we don’t understand why that could be culturally offensive or possibly racist. Americans steer clear from jokes like these because of history and because of the cultural turmoil present in the country today. In Korea, we never had any of that discrimination in our country because well. As the post says, we weren’t culturally diverse and we still aren’t. In no way are these jokes about darker skinned people posed to degrade people of color or to view darker skins as unfavorable. It’s just not part of our culture and that’s why it’s sometimes hard for us to understand why Americans find it so offensive. It was hard for me to adjust to the norms and to learn all the taboos here in America and my parents still struggle with it because we grew up without racial tension because well. Everyone was the same race in our country. It’s disheartening to see so-called fans harshly pointing out jokes that idols make that may be culturally insensitive here in America but are socially acceptable and seen everywhere in Korea. Please understand and overlook it or if you choose to notify the idol, do so in a respectable way. Idols don’t mean harm and they simply just don’t understand some cultures.

Ah, i’m having mixed emotions i guess you could say?

like i know a lot about korean culture, and i know enough to understand their standards of beauty. so im trying really hard to understand that rm isn’t used to other cultures and may not have understood that what he said was wrong on various levels. of course he should still know that it was very rude towards taehyung and jhope and just how everyone reacted to it i’m sure he knows (at least a little) that he fucked up big time.

then on the other hand i’m just offended and upset that he can be so close minded and ignorant? like he can get pretty dark himself so i feel he has no right to even say something like that. not to mention i’m half black so i do have some color and i am trying not to take personal offense to it. i’m not going to hold a grudge against him or hate him or stop being a bangtan stan over this. i think that is going too far, because what he said was rude yes but in his culture i guess it’d be considered okay. i just dont think reacting to this in anger is the right way to go. i feel he just needs to be personally educated on the subject so he can understand what he said was hurtful not only taehyung and v and poc fans aswell.

i still think he has done a great job at being bangtan’s leader and i still support bangtan as a whole im just feeling kinda hurt and disappointed about it. even the other members knew what he said was wrong (you could tell by their reactions) i dont think fans should attack him or be rude to him in any way because of this i feel he needs to be educated so he can understand that what he did was wrong, i honestly dont think he said that out of bad intentions.
