There were only a handful of things that could measure up to this moment.
Good food, company, books, cats.
But really, nothing could ever compare to the sound of the rain coming down in heavy drops, hitting the roof at a rhythmic tempo and Jin holding you close. The bed was wide enough for the both of you yet somehow you always found yourself tucked under Jin’s chin with his arm draped over your waist. You didn’t mind. Especially when he would unconsciously pull you closer.
Jin was the first to wake. He let out a yawn and rubbed his eyes with his hand before putting it back on your waist. His fingers automatically went up to your hair and began gently combing through it. He did it as a sign of affection but also as a way of slowly waking you up. If he could, Jin would let you sleep as long as you desired with him watching over you. He thought you were the most peaceful at rest and also the cutest. However, he much rather you be awake where he could talk to you and enjoy your warmth a little longer before he had to get up.
You could feel yourself slowly fall out of sleep and into reality as your senses came through. You opened your eyes briefly before closing them and opening them again, trying to chase the blur out of your vision. Jin placed a kiss to your forehead and your lips automatically curled up into a smile.
“Good morning,”
“Morning...”
“It’s raining today,”
“I don’t mind. That just means I get to stay in bed longer,” you said as you snuggled closer to Jin.
Jin let out a chuckle as he drew his hand away from your hair to your back, drawing small shapes. He pressed a kiss to the top of your head before resting his cheek against it. He closed his eyes. The sound of your breathing mixed with the rain slowly pulling him back into slumber.
“Jin?”
“Hm?”
“We don’t have to get up, right?” you asked. “I mean it is Sunday.”
“Mhmm,”
“And it’s raining outside.”
Jin made another hum of agreement, informing you he was listening. “I guess we could stay in bed a little longer.”
You tilted your head up and kissed Jin’s jaw and returned back to your position. “You’re the best.”
Jin snickered. “I know. You don’t have to remind me.”
You rolled your eyes and allowed Jin adjust your position on his chest. You listened to his steady heartbeat and watched the rain roll down the windows. The two of you laid there without a care or the need to get up. It was just the two of you basking in each other’s presence on a rainy Sunday morning.

Yoongi requested by thedawnsky! Thank you for requesting~~
“And don’t let me see your face again!”
Yoongi threw the baseball bat at the wall, making a sharp clank before falling onto the grass. The male pressed up against the wall nodded vigorously, his eyes wide and trembling as the bat barely just missed his head. He quickly scrambled to his feet and stumbled away, trying to get as far away from Yoongi as possible.
Yoongi let out a scoff as he watched the other’s disappearing figure in the distance. He didn’t hurt him too much. Yoongi made sure the other had enough bruises to get his point across but also not too many injuries for anything big. The bat was just a prop. He knew he wouldn’t have needed it but he figured it would scare the other male more.
Yoongi walked over to pick up the fallen bat and swung it over his shoulder. He began heading towards the main court of the campus in hopes of finding you. He had heard your boyfriend was cheating on you and he didn’t need you to confirm it for him to know it was true. As soon as he was done class, Yoongi picked up his baseball bat and cornered him into the back of the school.
He always knew something was off about him, but Yoongi never had the heart to say it. You were so happy and every time you talked about him your face lit up. Yoongi could never do that to you. Not only would you suffer, but he would too. He did what any friend would do and smiled because that was all that he could give you and nothing else.
Yoongi’s grip tightened around the bat. He liked you a lot more than he would admit. For months, he kept telling himself what he felt was protectiveness but as time went on he realized it was love and that frightened him. Your trust meant everything to him and he wasn’t willing to jeopardize your friendship with a few words. Yoongi pushed aside those thoughts and fought the urges to confess. He would have to be your friend instead.
Yoongi caught sight of you sitting on the bench facing the fountain, eyes watching the water ripple. You sat there numbly, trying to process what just happened. All you wanted to do was cry but for some reason, nothing came out. You couldn’t tell if you were more angry or heartbroken. You decided it was an odd combination of both. You felt like you were stuck in time. The world around you was still moving but you were left frozen in place. You had no idea what time it was or how long you had been sitting on the bench, eyes focused on the fountain. You didn’t care. You were upset.
“I can’t believe people like this fountain. It’s not even that great,”
You didn’t have to turn your head to know who it was. Just by his voice you knew it was Yoongi. He let out a small sigh as he dropped the bat beside the bench and then taking a seat, elbows going up to rest on the back of the bench.
“He cheated on me,” you said quietly.
Yoongi stole a glance at you before focusing on the fountain. “I know.”
“I feel so stupid. I should’ve known better,” you said. “I can’t believe this happened.”
“It’s not your fault. How would you even know? No one goes into relationships thinking the other person will cheat,”
“I know, but still...”
“You did nothing wrong. It was all his fault. He’s a total ass.”
You let out a sigh. “I know. It just... it hurts knowing the person you cared about doesn’t feel the same way as you.”
Yoongi let out a small hum and a short silence fell on the two of you. It was comforting being in the presence of someone else but not needing the conversation to make it more enjoyable. You treasured small moments like these with Yoongi. He didn’t have to say anything for you to know he cared and he was listening. He was by your side and he didn’t have to say it for you to know.
“When I found out your boyfriend cheated on you, I wasn’t sure how I felt,” Yoongi said. “A part of me was beyond angry because I couldn’t believe he would do that to you. Yet, a part of me was glad because that meant I had a small chance of being that person for you.”
“Yoongi...”
Yoongi turned to look at you. Your eyes met his and slowly, Yoongi leaned forward until his lips gently met yours. It was a brief kiss but it did everything it could to your body. Your face immediately brightened as Yoongi pulled away his face just centimetres away from yours.
“I like you. A lot. Will you give me a chance?”
Without hesitation you said ‘yes’. Yoongi smiled at you and pressed his lips on yours again, this time lingering a little longer. He took your hand in his and stood up, taking you with him. Yoongi quickly picked up his bat before pulling you along the path away from the fountain.
“i just committed a crime and i need to use you as a hostage i am so sorry” au
This was the first time Taehyung had ever did anything like this.
While he had stolen many things in life, this was the first time he needed to take someone hostage with him. To be fair, Taehyung didn’t really want to but when he heard the sirens approaching and Jimin yelling at him to do something, his first initial thought was to grab the person closest to him.
You were the unfortunate person to be chosen as hostage. You remember very clearly being on the ground with your hands above your head as you tried to steady your breathing. The sound of the police cars gave you a glimmer of hope but when you were scooped up into the arms of one of the robbers, your chance of escape was gone.
Jimin finished looping the knots around your wrists. Taehyung stole a glance at him before looking at you. You were bound to the chair, eyes red and cheek stained with tears. You had given up with begging and asking to be let go because it was evident you weren’t going anywhere. You lost your voice from crying but that didn’t stop the tears from streaming down your face.
Taehyung couldn’t help but to feel guilty at the sight of you. He, of all people, had to pick you and you didn’t deserve to be put into this position. Taehyung had suggested letting you go when everyone had managed to get into the van for escape but Jimin had insisted to take you with them in case the police decided to fire.
“So what now?” Taehyung asked.
“We need to think of an escape plan,” Jimin said as he circled around you. “In the meantime, she’s staying here with us.”
“S-staying?” Taehyung said. “Why don’t we just let her go? She’s not a threat to us.”
“And risk the chances of her telling the cops where we are? No way,” Jimin said. “She’s staying with us.”
Taehyung began to chew the bottom of his lip nervously. He looked at you and could see a fresh batch of tears stream down your face as you realized your fate. He felt his heart sink at the sight of you and began thinking how he could set you free.
“Don’t you think it would be pointless to keep her around?” Taehyung asked. “If anything, the police probably only care about her and not so much of the money. Besides, she would just weigh us down. It’s better if we just leave her here for the police to find her.”
Jimin paced back and forth, mauling over Taehyung’s suggestion before letting out a sigh. “Okay. We’ll let her go.”
Your head immediately snapped up upon hearing their conversation. You could feel your heart increase in speed at the thought of being let go. Your eyes wandered between the two males. They both looked relatively young and you couldn’t help but to wonder how they ended up stealing from small places for money. Somewhere in your mind you felt sympathy towards them but it was quickly erased when one of the males left the room.
“I’m gonna go get the car and pack up the stuff,” Jimin said. “When I honk the car, you better be ready.”
Taehyung nodded and waited until Jimin left the room before he turned his attention to you. His fingers quickly went to go undo the knot around your wrist and then the ones around your leg. You felt the strain on your limbs vanish as you pulled your wrist towards you, kneading the area.
“I’m sorry,” Taehyung mumbled as he tugged on the rope around your ankles. “You don’t deserve any of this.”
You felt a slight pang in your chest as you watched the boy in front of you finish with the ropes and pulling them out from your legs. He looked up at you, your eyes meeting for the first time. It was then you were aware of his facial features; his strong brows, dark eyes, and plump lips. You looked away, suddenly embarrassed to be in front of him.
Taehyung rose and offered his hand to pull you up from the chair. You hesitated at first but then reached for it, his grip supporting you as tried to remember how to stand again.
“You can exit through this door,” Taehyung explained. “It leads you outside to the back. Just go around the house and you’ll find the main street.”
You nodded, unable to find your voice. This was your chance to escape but for some reason you stayed where you were. There was something about Taehyung’s sincerity that made you question his motives and if he really was a bad person afterall.
Taehyung watched you expectantly, waiting for you to make a move. He grew more and more confused as he came to the conclusion you weren’t going anywhere. Before Taehyung could ask, the sound of a honk broke the silence and he knew it was time for him to go.
“I have to go now, but the door is right there. You should leave now,”
When Taehyung realized you weren’t going to move, he reached for your hand and began leading you towards the door. He opened the door and the light streamed into the small room. You could feel yourself squint at the sudden brightness as you heard the sound of the busy street.
The car honked again and Taehyung knew he was testing Jimin’s patience. He released your hand and gently pushed you outside. “I have to get going and you should too.”
“Wait!”
Taehyung stopped closing the door midway as he looked at you through the small gap.
“W-will I ever see you again?”
You could see Taehyung’s expression falter slightly before he put on a serious face. “No. You won’t.”
Jimin requested by anon! Thank you for requesting~~
In correlation to this drabble (though you could still read this by itself).
It was all so stupid.
Jimin listened to the sound of rain hitting the rooftop as he awkwardly laid on the couch, his legs dangling over the edge. He pulled the blanket higher in an attempt to keep himself warm, but he only found himself cold again when his toes began to poke out. Jimin sighed and wondered how you were doing. He was worried if you were warm enough and if you would suffice without him. Jimin rolled onto his sides, forcing himself to fit onto the couch. He missed you and if he could, he would run back home into your arms.
But he couldn’t.
The pair of you had gotten into a fight over Jimin’s past lover and while he no longer had feelings for her, that didn’t seem to be the case for the later. She had sent him a text of how much she missed him and you were unfortunate enough to have been the one to check who the message was from. Jimin remembered very clearly the way you looked at him with wide eyes and your mouth opened slightly. The only words Jimin could say was “let me explain” but you were far too driven by your emotions to listen.
“Why do you still even talk to her?”
“Because Jieun is a really close friend of mine,” Jimin explained. “You know that.”
“Is she? Or do you still have feelings for her?”
Jimin couldn’t respond. He didn’t respond not because you were right, but because he was in shock. He could never bring himself to do something as wrong as cheating, especially not to you. You meant so much to him and Jimin would absolutely loathe himself if he knew your source of pain was him.
You took Jimin’s silence as a confirmation and immediately broke down into tears. Jimin reached forward for you, but you stepped back. Jimin could feel his heart sink into his stomach as he watched you cower away from him. You shook your head and even through your tears, you managed to tell him to leave you alone.
A sudden crack of thunder caused Jimin to snap out of his thoughts momentarily. He watched the room light up briefly before going black again. While the storm continued on, Jimin’s mind was brought to you. He knew you hated thunderstorms and the sudden realization of you being at home to fend for yourself brought him to his feet. Jimin sent Taehyung a quick text, letting him know he decided to go back home. The second time the thunder struck, Jimin was already out the door.
You squeezed your eyes closed as the thunder continued to roar throughout the night. You focused on your breathing, inhaling and exhaling slowly to control your alarmingly fast heartbeat. You buried yourself further into the blankets, pulling them over your head in a feeble attempt to shield yourself away from the storm. Somewhere in the back of your mind, you wished Jimin was here to hold you and protect you from the thunder outside. It was stupid but you were afraid of something that could never really hurt you. You had this fear while growing up and it still somehow managed to stick with you.
The bed suddenly dipped on one side as the blankets came up briefly, letting a cold breeze in before everything was warm again. You opened your eyes to see Jimin, arms already around you as he pulled you towards him. Your hands immediately went to bundle Jimin’s shirt as you clung onto him for support. Jimin brushed his lips over your forehead and gently placed a kiss. “I’m here. Everything is going to be okay.”
You whimpered as another loud crack echoed throughout the night. “Why are you even here? I said to leave me alone.”
Jimin paused as he began to rub your back. “I know, but the storm came and I was worried about you,” he sighed.
You didn’t say anything as you snuggled into Jimin, trying to hide yourself from the thunder. Even though you were still upset with him, you knew you couldn’t stay that way for very long. You pressed a quick kiss to Jimin’s jaw and buried yourself back into his hold.
“I’m forgiving you just this one time, okay?”
Jimin smiled to himself as his grasp on you tightened. “Okay.”
Jungkook was lucky enough that he lived on campus so he never had to wake up more than 30 minutes before his class. He didn’t have to go through the trouble of waking up an hour early to take public transportation or sit in traffic in hopes of making it to school on time.
You, on the other hand, were not that fortunate and you had to wake up at an unreasonable time just to barely make it to class on time. About three weeks into the semester, you decided to give up and you concluded it didn’t matter if you were on time or not. The mere fact that you somehow made it for this dreadful 8:30 class was enough and you hoped your professor appreciated it.
Jungkook had noticed you on the first day because you always sat beside in front of him, panting, as you tried to catch your breath. He eventually noticed how you began to show up later and each time you looked less and less determined to make it on time. Jungkook thought it was adorable how you showed up to class grumpy as ever. You always wore a slight pout, indicating your lack of sleep and interest in molecular chemistry. You were often bundled in a jacket and a scarf, trying to chase the cold mornings away and Jungkook concluded he wanted nothing more than to wrap you in his arms.
Today was no different.
You were running late and you could care less about how molecules were synthesized. You pulled the door to the lecture hall open and you began to walk down the stairs to look for your usual seat. You ignored the irritated sighs and grumbles from your fellow classmates as you walked in between the rows until you sat down in your seat. It didn’t take long before you began nodding away, your head drooping slightly as the monotone voice of your professor lulled you to sleep.
Jungkook smiled as he watched you struggle to stay awake but eventually losing to sleep. You were asleep in no time and showed no signs of waking up any time soon. Jungkook only chuckled to himself as he paid extra attention to the teacher, making sure his notes were clear and easy to follow.
The rustling of books and students getting up jolted you awake. You watched as students began to pack their notebooks and leave the lecture hall one by one. It was only then you realized you had fallen asleep throughout the whole two hour lecture. You mentally cursed yourself as you looked around, hoping to catch someone to ask for their notes.
You looked down at your table and tilted your head in curiosity at the sight of today’s notes, written neatly on lined paper with a small yellow sticky note at the top right corner.
Hi! My name is Jungkook and I sit behind you. I noticed you fell asleep during lecture so I thought I would help you out. You can return my notes to me when you’re done with them. P.S., you looked extra cute today (:
You smiled as you read the note again. Maybe molecular chemistry isn’t so bad after all.
In the spirit of back to school season, I present to you this drabble.
"What can I get for you today?”
“A small coffee please,”
It was your job to keep the students that hustled in on early school mornings happy and caffeinated. While it wasn’t the most glamorous job in the world, you had to admit being a barista did come with it’s fun. You doodled on the sides of cups, in an attempt to bring a smile to customer’s faces. You drew flowers and hearts in the lattes people ordered. You were starting to remember a few regular faces and that never failed to make them smile when you remembered their drink from before.
And that was how you met Yoongi.
He was in line during the early morning rush hour and while you served many people that day, he stood out to you the most. It was also hard to forget him when he ordered a large americano from you. It wasn’t often people ordered americanos let alone a large one. They tended to be a bitter drink and only people who truly enjoyed the taste of espresso would order an americano. You remembered being very surprised but also very curious. He didn’t come off as a coffee drinker in his all black attire yet he didn’t seem to be like a latte person either. When you had finished assembling his drink for him, Yoongi took a sip right on the spot and he let out a small noise of satisfaction.
“This is really good,” he said, catching your gaze. “Did you make this?”
You could feel yourself beaming with pride as you smiled at him. “Yeap! Our shop is known for grinding it’s own beans. Makes the coffee taste even better.”
Yoongi took another sip before letting out a sigh. “You are amazing.”
You could feel a slight blush come on as you tapped the used espresso into the bin. “It’s nothing. I’m just glad you like it.”
“Oh, I do,” Yoongi said, reassuring you. “Trust me when I say I’ll be here every morning from now on.”
And he kept his word.
Yoongi never failed to show up every morning roughly around the same time as he stood in line, anxiously waiting for his coffee. He had to admit he had grown addicted to the americano and your warm presence. He looked forward to both the coffee and you. It was stupid, but Yoongi was beginning to think he only ever came this early just to see you. Even if the conversations the two of you shared were brief, it still made Yoongi’s heart flutter every time you smiled at him.
When Yoongi finally reached the front of the line, your lips automatically went up in recognition of the boy. You pulled a cup off from the stack and began scribbling his name on it. “The usual?”
Yoongi dug around in his pocket for change. “Yes please.”
You watched as Yoongi struggled before chuckling and punching a few numbers on the cash register. “Don’t worry. It’s on me.”
Yoongi looked up at you, dumbfounded as you smiled at him. You walked towards the espresso machine and began prepping Yoongi’s drink. Yoongi followed you from the till to the counter as he waited for his drink. He watched as you skillfully pulled a shot of espresso into two little cups before pouring it into his cup of water. You pushed the drink towards Yoongi and he reached out to grab it, relishing the warmth from the hot drink.
“Let me make it up to you,” Yoongi said as he brought the americano to his lips. “How about dinner?”
“Dinner?” you asked. “Are you sure?”
Yoongi nodded and smiled. “Don’t worry. It’s on me.”
It was too hard not to resist this au. I regret nothing.
It was 3AM.
A part of you was terrified. You didn’t know what to do. You could only follow the mass of people as they hurried down the apartment stairs. You were thankful you lived on the third floor because you were sure your legs would give out halfway and you might have to die in this building. The adrenaline coursed through your veins as you watched people push their way down the building until they were outside. Your anxiety only heightened when you saw the firefighters standing at the door and directing people away from the apartment complex. You watched mothers hold their children close and families huddle together and you desperately wished someone was there to hold you.
“It’s okay everyone! It was a false alarm. You may go back inside!”
You could hear a chorus of groans echo erupt. You found yourself sighing with the mass as people began to talk amongst themselves, half irritated by the sudden awakening and half curious to what triggered the alarm.
“Thank god that’s over with. Time to go back to bed,”
You turned to your left to see Jimin standing beside you. He lived next door and was the only person on the floor that acknowledged you. He was cute but you could never bring yourself to say anything more than just a simple “hi, how are you?”. Nonetheless, he still made the attempt to get to know you, with him talking mostly and you listening. He didn’t seem to mind and you didn’t either. You were thankful he didn’t intrude into your space and respected your quiet demure.
Jimin caught your glance and immediately he smiled. “Fancy seeing you here. How are you?”
You returned Jimin’s smile and shrugged slightly. “Could be better. I really wish I was in bed right now.”
Jimin laughed and nodded his head. “I agree, but I’m glad it wasn’t anything too serious. Better safe than sorry, right?”
After exchanging a few words, you were suddenly aware of Jimin’s attire. He had nothing on but a simple tank top and his underwear and you could feel your cheeks turn red in response. You looked away slightly, embarrassed by Jimin’s lack of clothes. While you had to admit, his body was fit and had just the right amount of muscles, you weren’t expecting to see him like this. You hardly knew him and seeing him like this sent your stomach doing turns.
“Hey, are you okay?”
You met Jimin’s gaze, his eyes filled with concerned. You quickly shook your head. “Y-yeah. I’m fine.”
“Are you cold?”
You noticed you had your arms wrapped around your stomach, something you did when you were nervous. Jimin must’ve mistaken it for something else because the back of his hand came up to your face and gently pressed your cheek.
“Are you sure? You feel cold.”
“I’m fine. Really. Just a little tired and surprised, that’s all,”
Without a word, Jimin closed the distance between you and wrapped his arm around you. His arm went around your shoulders in a protective hold and he began gently rubbing your arms to create warmth. You instantly froze at the sudden contact and Jimin must’ve noticed because he let out a small chuckle.
“I’m just trying to keep you warm,” Jimin said. “What kind of neighbour would I be if I let you froze here?”
You looked away shyly and muttered a small ‘thank you’ before Jimin began leading you back into the building with the crowd. He kept his arm firmly around you as he manoeuvred through the bodies, making sure to keep you close.
“You know...” Jimin began. “I always thought you were cute but never had the guts to say so.”
Your lips automatically went up as you looked over and met Jimin’s eyes. “That makes the two of us.”
Inspired by true events. This is what happens when you have no power for three days.
Thirty seconds is all it took.
In that short period of time, the weather changed drastically from sunshine to light showers to full-on downpour. It took Jin one week to plan out the trip to a small city nearby for a weekend, three hours to drive, and a mere thirty seconds to ruin it all.
The two of you were currently sitting in the backseat of Jin’s car, hiding from the storm that was happening outside. Jin had left the keys in the engine in an attempt to keep the two of you warm and the rain off the windshield. While his original intention was to drive back to the hotel as fast as possible, the constant rain made it hard for him to see and his wipers couldn’t keep up.
Jin officially declared today as the worst day possible and he blamed Mother Nature for it. He was beyond devastated as his efforts to make this the best weekend of your life were washed away with the rain. All Jin could do was sigh and hope the weather would clear up and his shirt would dry. He was glad that he went on this trip with you and you were being understanding and as great as you could be. Jin could feel his stomach churn uncomfortably, consumed by the disappointment and overwhelming kindness from you.
“I’m so sorry,” Jin said, for what may be the hundredth time.
You shook your head and rested your head on his shoulder. “It’s not your fault. You can’t control the weather.”
“I should’ve known better,” Jin mumbled. “I should’ve checked the weather before we left. I should’ve planned this out better. I should’ve--”
“You did all that you could, okay?” you said. “How were you supposed to know it was going to rain? There wasn’t a single cloud in the sky today when we left.”
“I know,” Jin sighed. “I just.... I really wanted this to be perfect. Everything was going smoothly and then this happened.”
You sat up and placed both your hands on either side of Jin’s face, forcing him to look at you. “Stop. You’re being too hard on yourself. You tried and even though it didn’t go the way you were hoping it to, it’s the thought that counts.”
Jin brought a hand up to cover your hand with his, thumbs gently stroking the back of your hand. “What did I ever do to deserve you?”
You broke out into a smile and shook your head. “I should be asking you that question. You really didn’t have to do all this.”
Jin shrugged. “I wanted to. You’re worth it.”
You leaned in and gently pressed your lips against Jin’s. “Thank you.”
Jin wrapped a protective arm around you, pulling you close to him as he tucked you underneath his chin. You smiled to yourself as Jin enveloped you in an embrace. “You’re welcome.”
Hoseok requested by anon! Thank you for requesting ^^
Loosely inspired by this song.
"Why don’t you love me anymore?”
Hoseok had froze at those words and even months now, he still crumbles at the thought of those six words. One part of him is still in the aftershock, numb to everything around him and unable to comprehend what happened. The other part of him was trying to survive and function regardless of his surroundings.
Hoseok honestly didn’t know what to do. He felt so lost even when he was in the safety of his own home. He could be situated perfectly still on the couch and to him, it would still seem foreign. He knew where he was but at the same time it didn’t look right. His mind couldn’t catch up to the reality and he was still stuck somewhere in his thoughts.
He felt so stupid.
Why didn’t he realize sooner? Why couldn’t you wait a little longer? Why did he have to regret it now?
Hoseok desperately wished he could go back in time and fix this. He hated himself for not knowing better and how his words spoke louder than he wanted them to. He thought of you like a bad habit; it was something he shouldn’t do but he didn’t know how to stop. He knew he was being clingy and way too attached but he couldn’t help it. The idea of you moving on and being happy with someone else made his blood run cold and his stomach churn.
Hoseok had begged for one more chance. Just one more chance to prove that he wasn’t clueless and that he loved you more than life itself. Just one chance to prove he was just as hopelessly in love as you were. When you shook your head and tears streamed down your face, Hoseok knew he was much too late. He had waited too long. He should’ve taken the chance when he had it. When you had questioned the authenticity of his love, Hoseok should’ve proved how much you meant to him. He was too late for everything.
Now Hoseok was left alone with nothing but the vast emptiness of his bed. He hated how the warmth from the blanket couldn’t give him the same comfort as you did when you would sleep beside him. He hated turning onto his side and meeting the empty spot. The missing body beside him scared Hoseok and it only made him realize just how foolish he was.
After coming to the conclusion that he wasn’t going to be able to sleep, Hoseok got up from his bed and wandered into his living room. The lights from the darkness outside lit up the room, drawing Hoseok to the window. He gazed out the window, noting all the stars shining in the sky like specks of glitter. Even though the city lights were strong enough to drown out the night sky, tonight the stars looked particularly brighter. It was like they pitied Hoseok and they shone extra bright to keep him company and distract him from what’s eating him away.
Even in quiet, serene moments like this Hoseok would manage to find his thoughts wandering towards you. Did you sleep well without him? Because he obviously didn’t. Do you feel cold at night? Because Hoseok did even with blankets. Are you looking at the stars right now at this moment? Because the stars were Hoseok’s only source of company.
Hoseok sighed and decided to return to bed. He walked back into his room and crawled into his bed, getting tangled into the blankets before settling on his back. He closed his eyes and tried to sleep with nothing but the sound of his breath lulling him to sleep and the stars the shined brightly outside, laughing at his misery.
I’ve been itching to give this prompt generator a try and this was a poor excuse to use it. In which you and Namjoon are at a wild party and you don’t want to be there.
You hated parties.
They were always too loud and too crowded. You didn’t like the idea of being packed into a room filled with only a handful of people you knew. You were already terrible enough at socializing, but being forced to was even worse. You rarely attended parties unless it was for a loved one, even then you had a hard time getting through the night. You had come to the conclusion you didn’t like parties when a friend of yours had taken you to a summer party and she promptly left you after an hour. Ever since then you had stayed away from parties.
You couldn’t stay out of this party even if you wanted to. It was Namjoon’s best friend’s birthday. Namjoon had insisted if you didn’t go, he wouldn’t. You knew Namjoon’s friend and you knew he would be devastated if he didn’t go. After a few failed attempts at aegyo and bribery with food, you told Namjoon you would go.
However, when you arrived at the front door with music blaring out of the house, you should’ve known this wouldn’t be an ordinary party. Namjoon’s friend greeted the two of you at the front and just by judging his appearance, you knew he had a drink too many.
It had only been fifteen minutes and you had already lost Namjoon in the crowd of bodies. You awkwardly sat at the end of the couch with a couple next to you, kissing furiously. You tried your best to look occupied by your drink but your fruit punch could only entertain you for so long and you were starting to wonder how stupid you looked. You found yourself pressed up against the end of the sofa as the couple kept coming closer. You were sure at one point the girl brushed up against you, causing you to lean ever further away from them (if that was possible).
You let out a sigh and rested your chin in your hand. You wanted to be at home, wrapped in blanket with your favourite book with the stillness of the night keeping you company. The more you watched the mass of people dancing in front of you, the more you wished you were at home. The girl beside you let out a noise as you watched from the corner of your eye her lover nibble on her neck. You rolled your eyes and tried to control your gag reflexes. You downed the last of your drink before getting up from the couch, desperately searching for Namjoon.
Before you could even make it through the crowd, a hand rested itself on your hip, causing you to whirl around in surprise. Namjoon grinned at you, his cheek dipping slightly from his dimple. “Looking for someone?”
“Yes,” you answered. “As a matter of fact, you. Can we go home now?”
“Already? I was under the impression you were having fun,” Namjoon teased, nudging his head towards the couple on the sofa.
Your face immediately turned red as you hit Namjoon’s chest. “Not funny. I’ve been sitting beside them for the past fifteen minutes and if I hear that girl say “bite me again”, I am going to lose it. Please take me home.”
Namjoon laughed and pressed a kiss to your head.. “Okay,” he said. “Home it is.”
Taehyung requested by kwonjiyongwife! Thank you for requesting~~
If there was anything people didn’t tell you about terminal diseases, it would be the fact that you were confined to your bed.
And while you had to admit, being in bed all day was pretty sweet, you really missed being outside. You wanted to feel the sun on your face and the wind through your hair. You wanted to walk down the crowded streets, feeling people push you by and the smell of fresh air. You wanted to be like everyone else, whether they were trying to get to work or just hanging out with friends, you wanted to be like them.
But you couldn’t.
You were unfortunate enough to be blessed with a disease that was both rare and terminal. It was a cancer that was seen within your family tree and it often skipped from one generation to another. Much to your luck, it had landed on your generation and you were born with this kind of cancer. While it wasn’t one of those diseases that kept you hospitalized since birth, you were able to live a fairly decent life before the disease woke up from it’s dormant cycle.
Ever since you could remember, you had been in the hospital since. The doctors said it was a good idea. They said they were able to keep a close eye on you and to provide you with as much care as possible. After the last incident at home where you blacked out for a few days, you figured this was a good idea indeed.
You had come to a conclusion that this was it. You were destined to be with the hospital bed forever. The doctor said the chances of you getting better were slim and you honestly weren’t sure how to cope with that. While a part of you told yourself to make the best of the time you had left, it wasn’t enough for you. You had so many things you wanted to do and so many places to go, but that path was cut short when you were hospitalized.
Although it was awful being kept in bed, you reminded yourself to be thankful for at least one person: Taehyung.
That boy would somehow make it to see you rain or shine, day or night. Even if his day was filled with work beyond comprehensible, he would still manage to find an hour in between to come visit you. You were grateful for not just the time he made for you, but the effort he made for you.
If Taehyung wanted to leave, he had his chance to. If he told you that this was too much for him and he didn’t want this, you didn’t blame him. He was young and still had a life ahead of him. No one as young as Taehyung would want to be tied down by someone who was about to pass away. Somehow, Taehyung proved to you that he wasn’t like that. He never acted differently because of your sickness. He made sure to act like he usually did and pretend everything was okay.
However, you could see the look in Taehyung’s eyes every time he left. They were filled with uncertainty and sadness and even though he would mask it with a smile, you knew past that happy façade, was something else. What this something else was you would never know. Taehyung never made the attempt to tell you and you didn’t want to intrude into something personal. The two of you never talked about it and you were absolutely fine with it. It was better like that anyway.
“Hey,”
You looked up from reading your book to see Taehyung standing by your bed with one of his hands behind his back and a smile on his face. You couldn’t help but to return his grin, his happiness was infectious.
“I brought something for you,” Taehyung said as he sat down on the chair beside your bed. He wiggled the arm behind his back for emphasis, peaking at your interest.
You tilted your head slightly. “What is it?”
“Ta dah!” Taehyung pulled his arm from behind his back, revealing a branch of cherry blossoms. You could feel your eyes widen and your cheeks automatically going up as Taehyung handed you the pink flowers.
“Tae, where did you get this?”
“From the tree outside my house,” Taehyung smiled proudly.
“Thank you,” you said. “This is really sweet of you.”
“Anything for you,” Taehyung grinned. “You’ve been talking about wanting to go see the cherry blossoms and since you couldn’t go, I decided to bring the cherry blossoms to you.”
“You didn’t have to do this Tae...” you mumbled shyly.
Taehyung leaned in towards you until he was in your peripheral vision. He smiled sweetly at you before pressing his lips against yours for a small kiss. “I want to, okay? You deserve this. I want you to experience everything you wanted even if you can’t. I know it’s not the real thing but I still want you to be able to say “I’ve seen them before” even if it’s just a part of it.”
“Taehyung?”
“Yes, love?”
“I don’t want to die,”
It was the first time you said it. Evidently, both you and Taehyung knew that you weren’t ready to pass away. He knew how devastated you were when you found out about the cancer. He saw how devastated you were. Taehyung would be lying if he said he was ready to let you go. Truth be told, he wasn’t. When he saw the cherry blossom tree outside his house, he had collapsed onto the floor in his room and cried. It was so unfair that it had to be you of all people. Taehyung had fell in love with you and he fell hard. He couldn’t imagine a day without you and it was starting to scare him how close this day was approaching.
Taehyung cupped your cheeks in his hands, his thumbs wiping the tears away. He gave you a bitter smile. It took every fibre in his body not to cry with you. He wanted to be strong in front of you and show how unafraid he was of the future awaiting for the pair of you. He wanted to give you less things to worry about and more moments to keep. You already had a lot on your mind and he didn’t want to be another burden for you to carry.
“I don’t want you to go either,” Taehyung said quietly. “If I could, I would take away half the pain because it hurts me to see you struggle. If I could, I would give you all the stars in the sky because you deserve to see them. If I could... I would die with you because I don’t want to spend a day without you.”
All hopes of keeping your tears from spilling failed as you began to cry. Taehyung easily pulled you into his arms as he held you against his chest, rubbing soothing circles on your back. Taehyung rested his head on yours and waited patiently until your sobs subsided. You pulled back slightly to look at Taehyung, his eyes were pink and the tip of his nose was starting to grow red.
“I wish you were a vampire,” Taehyung said.
You let out a small laughter in disbelief. “A vampire? Why?”
“Because then you would be mine forever,” Taehyung said smugly.
You rolled your eyes but smiled nonetheless. You leaned forward and buried your face in the crock of Taehyung’s neck. “I’ll be yours forever, regardless of what happens. Even if I have to wait for you, I will. Deal?”

Hi anon!
I closed requests a while back but I’ll see what I can do for you! I’ll add your request onto my list but it might take a while for me to get to it but I’ll definitely try my best!
Hoseok took a glance into the mirror and he could feel a slight sinking feeling at the sight of his face. Right away he knew the person staring back wasn't him because he did not look like that.
Swollen eyes, dark under circles, sunken cheeks. Even though Hoseok wasn't the type of person to grow any facial hair, he could already see the beginnings of his stubble. Hoseok let out a scoff, the only sound he could make. He believed he was the type of person to not mull over a breakup, but here he was now, thinking about a breakup that had happened two months ago and he still couldn’t get over it.
Hoseok wandered into his bedroom and took a seat on his bed. Instinctively, he reached for his phone and with every fibre in his body, he tried not to dial your phone number. He could feel his thumb twitching, itching to dial your number. Hoseok quickly locked his phone and tossed it onto the other side of the bed, setting a distance between himself and the object. It was just another way to keep him from getting to you.
You.
Hoseok realized he would do anything just to see you. He also realized how foolish he was because he knew he couldn’t see you, no, he can’t see you. It was him who was dumb enough to let you slip through the cracks of his fingers. It was him who never took the time to appreciate how wonderful you were and how lucky he was. It was him who drove you to your breaking point and that was the first time he made you cry. It was him who lead you to break up with him and there was nothing Hoseok could say to stop you from doing it. He had too much pride.
Pride. Hoseok hated that word. How he wished he didn’t have so much of it and maybe he wouldn’t be haunted by the mistakes he made because of it. All Hoseok wanted to do was to be in your arms and have you tell him how everything was going to be alright. Just the idea of having you beside him gave Hoseok the chills and a part of him cursed himself for being so attached to you even if it was just a single thought passing his head.
A quiet beep echoed throughout the phone, signalling Hoseok that he received a new message. Although it was foolish of him, Hoseok secretly wished the message would be from you. The possibility of it being you was close to zero but slightest chance that it could be from you gave Hoseok a little bit of hope. So when he was faced with a text message from his friend, Hoseok was short nothing of disappointment. He tried not to be but it was still evident in the way he sent a brief reply, not bothering to carry the conversation.
Hoseok collapsed onto the bed and stared at the ceiling. It was still way too early to sleep but it was the only comfort Hoseok could get these past weeks. It was easier being in a state of unconsciousness than being awake. While it was easier for Hoseok to be asleep because he didn’t have to think about you, there would still be the occasional dream of you. In his dreams, you and Hoseok were genuinely happy. The impeding breakup between the two of you seized to exist. But there were also dreams where Hoseok would wake up covered in a cold sweat with your name lingering his lips, those were the dreams he usually got.
As Hoseok closed eyes, ready to fall into slumber and dreams of you, he realized at that moment, he needed you. He needed you to tell him that this was over and the two of you were better off as strangers. He needed to hear those words from you because then maybe Hoseok could put you in the past and finally move on. Without thinking twice, Hoseok reached over to his phone and began to dial your number. He didn’t have to try to remember it, Hoseok’s thumbs automatically began pushing your number before hitting the green button.
“Hello?”
“Hey, it’s me,”
“Oh! Hi,”
Hoseok noted how genuinely surprised you sounded. He wondered if you ever waited for him to call or text like he waited for you. You probably didn’t. You sounded too surprised as if you would never expect him to call you ever again.
“Listen... I need a favour from you,” Hoseok said.
“Of course,” you replied.
Hoseok closed his eyes and took a deep breath in. “I need you to tell me we’re done for. I need to hear you say we’ll never be together again because maybe then my mind will be at ease. I need you to tell me you’re better off without me and just to forget about you. I need...”
There was a pause. Hoseok could feel his eyes water and a lump form in his throat. He ignored the pain creeping in his chest and the tightness in his stomach.
“Hoseok?”
“Yes?”
“It’s over between the two of us. What we had before no longer exists. We can’t go to what we were before. Just forget about me. You’re better off not knowing who I was.”
It’s like you had read Hoseok’s mind and for once in a really long time, Hoseok felt a small smile form on his cheeks. A tear rolled down Hoseok’s face as he let your words sink in.
“Thank you,” Hoseok said quietly. “Really.”
Hoseok hung up the phone, not bothering to wait for your response. He tossed his phone to the side and laid back in bed, his eyes drooping and lulling him into sleep.
It was the first time without you Hoseok slept peacefully throughout the night.
I’m sorry for neglecting requests!! I’m hoping to get through them as soon as I can.
Yoongi for anon~ Thank you for requesting!
Yoongi had never felt like this before.
The feeling he felt was nerve racking. He would constantly be on edge and his heart would beat at unusual paces that made him uncomfortable. He could be completely engrossed into a task but his mind would be somewhere else. It was like his body was there but his mind was taken out and it was left on the side as a spectator to watch. No matter how hard he tried to focus on something else, his mind would somehow wander back and the more he thought about it, the more it made his insides churn.
Yoongi had began to wander what this feeling was and what caused it. The answer to the later was simple; you had recently got in contact with a friend. A male friend to be specific. Of course it was harmless enough. He had recently messaged you, stating who he was and how he hadn’t talk to you since God knows when. You had explained to Yoongi how he was a close friend of yours back in school and the two of you seemed to lost contact as the years went on. Yoongi saw it as something innocent enough and he shared the same excitement as you, knowing how much you valued your friends.
But then, you started seeing him.
It wasn’t once or twice but exactly five times now. Yoongi knew he was being a little bit silly for having to keep track of how many times you saw him, but he couldn’t help it. He had been busy with work and a part of him wondered if his failure to keep you company had lead you to go meet up with him. While it was nice hearing about how lovely your day was and how much fun you had, Yoongi was beginning to think that this friend of yours was looking for something else.
“Don’t be silly,” you had said to him one night. “We’re just friends. He knows I’m not looking for a relationship.”
“Then why do you keep seeing him?” Yoongi pouted. “Am I not good enough?”
“No! Yoongi! Don’t say that,” you said, cupping his cheeks in your hands. “He’s just a friend. You’re more than enough. Too much, actually.”
Yoongi cracked a smile and you pressed a kiss to his lips, sealing your love for him before saying: “Don’t ever say stuff like that again, okay?”
That conversation felt like months ago when it only happened two nights before. Yoongi sighed and ripped out the piece of paper from his notebook. He crumpled it the sheet into his hand until he was satisfied with the size of the paper ball. He tossed the ball over his shoulder, not caring where it landed. That was the least of his worries.
Yoongi stared at the blank piece of paper in front of him. He wrote down two words and stopped. He had only started on his lyrics and he already messed up. Again he tore the sheet, turning it into a sizeable ball, and throwing it over his shoulder. Yoongi sighed and buried his face in his hands. No matter how hard he tried to think of something else other than the fact you were with your friend, he couldn’t.
Yoongi struggled to control his emotions and writing proper lyrics. He tried his best to relax and ignore the tightness in his chest but it was pointless. Yoongi knew better than to fight it so instead he opt to work with it. He generated the energy he felt from thinking about you to his notebook and soon, he found himself getting lost with his writing.
The emotions he felt were obviously enough to keep him busy as Yoongi didn’t notice you come home. You had rendered the absence of Yoongi greeting you as strange until you saw him hunched over the desk, the tip of his pen dancing along the lines of the page and the remains of Yoongi’s discarded lyrics in the shape of paper balls. You knew better than to disturb Yoongi when writing as his creative juices tend to flow better when uninterrupted. However, all you could think of was being wrapped in his arms as he held you close while the two of you talked.
When Yoongi’s sigh echoed the room and he brought his arms over his head to stretch, you knew the coast was clear. Yoongi pressed a hand against his shoulder, gently kneading the stiffness. When he felt hands replace his on both shoulders, he didn’t have to turn around to know who it was. Instead, he relaxed into your touch as you began to work the knots out of his body.
“Long day of work?” you asked.
“No, not really,” Yoongi mumbled as he closed his eyes, relishing the way your fingers worked it’s magic. “Why?”
“Our room looks like a giant paper bin,” you said, kicking one of the paperballs for emphasis.
“Oh. Right. I’ll clean that up later,” Yoongi said. “What did you do tonight?”
“We went to a little cafe by the beach and we saw the sunset together. It was really nice! We should go together sometime,” you said, finishing up Yoongi’s massage.
Yoongi sat there and listened to you. He hated the way it sounded so romantic. In reality, it was just dinner and catching up but to Yoongi, all he could think of was how you were having a one on one dinner with a male friend at the beach and watching the sunset together. He wondered if this male friend of yours made any compliments about your appearance as you complimented the sunset.
“Is something wrong?” you asked, breaking the silence. You noticed Yoongi seemed to stop responding and the look on his eyes showed he was somewhere else.
Yoongi shook his head. “It’s nothing. I’m just tired.”
Yoongi pushed himself out of the desk and got up from his seat. He began walking towards the bed but he stopped when he felt you wrap your arms around his waist.
“You’re upset, aren't you?”
“No. I’m just tired. I’ve been writing all da--”
“Is it because I went out with him today?” you asked. When Yoongi stiffened in your hold at the mention of your friend, you knew you had hit the nail on the head. “Yoongi...”
Yoongi loosened the hold on you had on his waist and turned to look at you. “I’m upset, okay? I understand you’re really happy to reconnect with an old friend and I’m happy for you too, but you’re spending too much alone time with him.”
Yoongi sighed and looked away. “I know it’s selfish for me to say, but I don’t know what to think when you’re out with a friend watching sunsets together.
You reached up and caressed his cheek, noting the dark bags under his eyes. “I’m sorry. I didn’t know this would upset you so much. If I knew, I wouldn’t have gotten out with him so often.”
“It’s not your fault,” Yoongi said, bringing up a hand to hold the yours against his cheek. “It’s just me being insecure.”
You shook your head and smiled. “You’re perfect.”
Yoongi grinned and pulled you into his chest and kissed the top of your head. “I try.”
