"Oh, y’know. Rescuing kitties from trees, defending mutants from racists, stuff like that. I don’t ask a lot of questions, I just take names and dates." She nodded, grinning a little. "Yup. Little bug has a helluva backstory, but I was here about a year when I had him. You can peek in on him if you like, he’s a pretty heavy sleeper—got him set up in the guest room, ‘Star insists on keeping a playpen so he can visit."

"Yes I would " She smiled warmly "Huh.. I heard they got a dog but I didn’t think he was that small.. or is it a she. " She thought for a second "What kinda job?"
Talia shrugged. “Don’t ask me. I didn’t take the call for this one—kid was throwing up strained peaches and ‘Star panicked.” She chuckled softly, shifting the pup onto one arm to hold her hand out toward the other woman. “Talia Josephine Wagner, but most folks are welcome to call me TJ. I live down the hall and answer phones for the guys part-time. This is Tierra,” she said, indicating the dog, “And my son Jack is asleep in the next room. Eight months. Driving me crazy.”
