Bang Yongguk: Bad At Love Final

A/N: The last one. There is no more after this so I hope everyone who did read it, enjoyed it. 

PS: I didn’t proof read this so yeah. 

Summary: Your whole marriage with Yongguk was a lie and you were ready to live with it. Until your feelings start to get in the way.

Somehow days start to pass, as slow as they may pass you and Yongguk seem to be doing just fine. Things were a little less awkward after the two of you talked. You had assured him that you didn’t hate him and you had left simply because it was hard to maintain a life you had not picked for yourself. He had understood this and said that he is okay with giving you the space you need while you are still under the same roof as you.

You are grateful for him taking things so lightly and easily. It would be easier to leave in the end if he just let you be. The only thing you were back to do was to make sure he would sign the divorce papers after his full recovery.

The final check up was done, all the results had came back as all clear and even you had to admit that Yongguk looked a little more at ease. The two of you don’t say anything to each other as the two of you make your way back home. You are driving and Yongguk is on the passenger seat, looking out the window. He doesn’t say anything and you just focus on driving. After a long pause he finally speaks.

“So I guess this is it”

you don’t respond. You don’t know how to as you know exactly what he is talking about. He finally looks at you and you feel like he could burn a hole through you. His gaze was piercing so you only manage a nod.

“I will sign the papers”

And he does.

You had not bought back much things with you when you rushed back to see Yongguk so there wasn’t much packing to do like last time. It was a quick task and you thought it would all be over in an instant as the two of you sit on the sofa. The pen in his hand and your heart was in your throat.

It felt like forever as he signed the papers but he sighs it like it was nothing. You feel tears in your eyes. You had waited for this moment and for your freedom from all the lies and yet this moment broke your heart.

Once he finishes he puts his pen out and sits up.

“I wish you a happy life, Bang Yongguk” you say as he stand up slowly. Your feel yourself shake a little as you stand up and turn away from Yongguk. You tell yourself that this was it and all you have to do now is walk out.

“Wait”

You stop just as you are about to reach the door. You turn around and gasp when you see Yongguk on his knee on the ground with a ring in his hand.

“What are you doing?!” you ask in shock.

“Something I should have done a long time ago” he says simply with the biggest smile on his face.

You still have no words as the tears in your eyes start to fall.

“I love you so much and it took so damn long to realise it…I’m an idiot and I am so sorry that it took you leaving for me the realise how much I needed you here with me. I know we haven’t had the best of starts and I have been cold towards you for so long, I thought you had started to hate me for it so I did it to avoid your clear feelings to me…and my own but I don’t want to avoid this anymore, so if you will have this idiot of a man, will you marry me? …for real this time?” he says his whole speech on his knees, never breaking eye contact with you. He is still smiling and all you can do is nod as the tears continue to fall.

Yongguk is back on his feet and he wraps his arms around you and envelopes you in his warm embrace. Your hands find their way to his face as you pull him in close to you. You can’t believe this is happening. You can’t believe that he knew all this time and that he thought you could ever hate him. You could never hate him.

“I love you” you can’t do anything other than whisper it to him between small sobs.

His smile widens if it was even possible and finally the two of you share the softest kiss ever which was filled with so much love.

Everyone is shocked at the news of you two have another wedding. The two of you didn’t bother with the big wedding again so it was just a small affair. The two of you signed the papers at the court house before the small ceremony and then you had a little party with all your close family and friends.

And everything was as perfect as it could be. Of course there was lots of bumps on the road but those were to be expected and any other bumps on the road would be nothing for the two of you now that you two were truly together.

Bang Yongguk: Bad At Lobe Chapter 8

A/N: Still alive, somehow. Let’s carry on with the story as we come near to the end. Enjoy. 

Summary: Your whole marriage with Yongguk was a lie and you were ready to live with it. Until your feelings start to get in the way.

It was you sleeping on the sofa now. Yongguk was ordered by the doctor to get plenty of rest which meant him having the bed. Not that you minded as you really didn’t want to get comfortable here in this house again. In fact you had demanded Yongguk to sign the divorce papers once he is back to full health.

He had silently agreed and did not protest. Your heart had hurt a little but you told yourself to stop living in the past and to look ahead. You could finally get away and live a life without the biggest lie.

It was late and Yongguk had gone to bed. You were alone, sitting on the the sofa just thinking. What exactly were you doing back here? It was really weird being back here as it felt like you had gone back to the beginning. You signed. You were tired too from all that had happened. Yongguk had finally been sent home from the hospital once all his health tests came back as clear.

You sigh again.

“You sigh a lot”

You gasp a little in surprise as Yongguk comes and joins you on the sofa. He keeps a safe distance from you and he doesn’t look at you.

“I am just tired” you say simply and he nods.

The two of you just sit there in silence for a while before you finally ask him, “What are you doing out of bed?”

“I wanted to talk”, he says simply as if it was not big deal.

“And you chose the middle of the night?”

“We have to start somewhere”

You nod. He was right after all. Since you had come back it had been a made rush of making sure Yongguk was okay and getting him ready for all his health checks. After all that had come back you had to get him ready to bring him back home. It had been a long few weeks and this was the first time the two of you had actually sat down alone together properly.

“Why do you hate me so much?” he asks which surprises you.

“I don’t hate you” you say softly. You really didn’t hate him. It was the exact opposite but you could see why he would think that.

“You say you don’t but everything you do just screams that you hate me” he says which hurts your heart a little. It takes everything in you to stop yourself from saying exactly how you feel. You end up staying quiet.

“I missed you, a lot actually” he says and you feel your heart skip a beat. “I wonder what I did to hurt you so much” he adds with a laugh and you still don’t have an answer for him.

I shouldn’t have come back, it is going to be harder to leave.

Bang Yongguk: Bat At Love Chapter 7

Summary: Your whole marriage with Yongguk was a lie and you were ready to live with it. Until your feelings start to get in the way.

It had been quiet for some weeks now. Yongguk had not been trying to contact you for a while now and you wondered what was going on but you pushed the thoughts away as you get on with your day.

It is sometime during lunch time when you get a phone call. You assume it is Yongguk as you pick up your phone to see that it was an unsaved number. Feeling a little confused you answer the phone.

“Hello, is this Mrs Bang?”

“Yes, this is she”, you reply, still feeling a little confused.

“Your husband has collapsed while at work and in at the hospital right now”

You feel the blood draining from your face. He was where? Is that why he hadn’t tried to gotten in touch with you? You feel a little light headed and find yourself the closes place to sit.  

“I’m sorry, what?”

You don’t remember much of what happened after. You just knew you had to get back. Your body moves on it’s own while your head is in a daze. Was he hurt? Did he over work himself? Did he eat properly? You pack your stuff away in blind panic before finding yourself back in your own car, driving yourself to the hospital. You practically run to the reception and ask for Yongguk.

As the receptionists tells you where to go, you start to rethink your actions.

What if this was Yongguk’s way of bringing you back?

He used to work a lot before too and this had never happened before. You knew Yongguk wasn’t one to eat a lot but he had always been healthy and he would eat when he needed to.

“Well here goes nothing” you say to yourself before slowly knocking on the hospital room door.

Your heart is pounding as you slowly enter the room. Yongguk is indeed in the hospital bed. However he is sitting up and looking out the window. He looks a little pale and had he lost some weight since the last time you saw him?

You felt worried as you walk towards him.

“Hey”, he says softly as he looks at you, finally looking away from the window.

“Hey, yourself” you reply as you stop just by his bed. He has indeed lost some weight and he definitely looks pale.

“How have you been?” he asks as he turns away and looks out the window once more.

“Alright”

“Thats good…can’t say the same about me though” he says with a laugh.

“You shouldn’t joke about that” you say softly, Yongguk doesn’t reply so you are not sure if he even heard you.

He just smiles as he stares out the window.

Bang Yongguk: Bad At Love Chapter 6

Summary: Your whole marriage with Yongguk was a lie and you were ready to live with it. Until your feelings start to get in the way.

Someone is calling your name. You look around but see no one. You are breathing heavily and covered in a thin layer of sweat. You are running without an idea of where you were headed to. You just knew that you had to get away from that voice who was calling you.

“You wanted this, so why are you running away?” the voice asks and you freeze up.

You slowly turn back to confirm the source of the voice but before you can see him you feel your body collapse.

The next thing you know you are on your bed. You blink while looking around the hotel room. You are indeed alone. The sun is filtering in through the curtains and it lights up the room. you slowly sit up and rub your eyes a little. You feel confused about your dream and wonder what it could possibly about.

You think about Yongguk. Why were you dreaming about him? You didn’t want to see him right now, at all. But you guessed your heart yearned for him. You place your hand on top of your chest and sigh.

You didn’t miss him. Definitely not.

You slowly get out of bed and walk to the bathroom. You slowly go through your morning routine before you find yourself staring at yourself in the mirror. You wonder what Yongguk must be up to right now. Surely he wasn’t thinking of you the way you were thinking of him.

Yongguk sighs as he sits on the sofa. He has made about a million phone calls to try and find you or any clues about where you could be. He sighs as he leans back and stares at the dreaded envelope you had left for him.

He slowly closes his eyes.

He was sleeping on the sofa when he hears something ball and break. He sits up immediately and calls your name.

Who else could it have been?

He turns on the lamp nearest to him and sees you on the the floor picking up the pieces of a broken vase.

“Are you ok?” he asks, worriedly.

“Yeah, just bumped into the table” you say and he walks off to the kitchen.

He comes back with a brush and dustpan.

“Here, let me do it this with this” he says before crouching down on the ground and slowly brushes the pieces of the broken vase on the small dustpan

“Thank you” you say softly and he smiles one of his rare smiles and you cannot let but smile back at him.

Yongguk sighs as he opens his eyes and picks his phone up again.

He had to find you.

Bang Yongguk: Beginning at the End

Summary: You find a new beginning at the least expected place. You weren’t even looking for it really.

A/N: Hi, so I know I said no other writing other than Bad At Love but I have some grief and writing is my way of coping so I am sorry for a angsty one but I promise there is also fluff in here somewhere. And it’s slightly inspired by Yongguk’s recent Instagram update, it just made sense.

The sun is out and the weather is great. It seems like the perfect day to go out and enjoy the weather. But you are far from wanting to enjoy the weather. In fact the weather was doing the exact opposite of what you were doing and how you felt. 

You actually don’t know why you are here. You weren’t here for the actual funeral and you weren’t there at the hospital. Well why would you be there at those places when it wasn’t family or friend. You felt so pathetic standing there in front of the grave. God this wasn’t it. You should not be here but you couldn’t help it. The small bouquet of flowers in your hand is clutched tightly.

You could have stayed at home and pretended everything was great and nothing was bothering you. But here you were feeling like absolute shit about the whole situation. You could have shown up at the funeral and then moved on but you didn’t. You just said you were busy even though your friend pointed out that if anyone at work was effected it would have been you. You had just laughed but she was right. You had cried for hours alone at home.

Bang Yongguk: Bad At Love Chapter 5

Summary: Your whole marriage with Yongguk was a lie and you were ready to live with it. Until your feelings start to get in the way.

When Yongguk wakes up the next day, he has a splitting headache and he cannot remember much of last night. He just knows that you are gone. He remembers the divorce papers and your empty room. He also remembers the empty feeling in his heart but he brushes that off as quickly as he had felt it.

He slowly blinks his eyes, adjusting to the bright light. He sits up slowly, feeling a little dizzy from the headache. He had defiantly drank way more than he was used to. He realises that he is on the sofa with a blanket over him and instantly his mind goes to you.

He calls your name and looks around despite his headache. He wanted to see you, needed to see you. But there is no response. He then sees a glass of water and a note on the coffee table. He suddenly feels thirsty and he drinks the water in one go before reading the note.

his heart drops as he reads your words.

You were long gone.

You wonder around alone, the beach was always a good place to be alone and think. You are thankful for thinking of the small hotel by it. You managed to get a room and spend your first official night alone. It was a restless night especially since you had gone back home to check on Yongguk.

You had found him pass out on the sofa and your heart had hurt a lot. You ended up cleaning around a little and leaving him a note and glass of water ready for the morning. But seeing him made you realise you had done the right thing. You needed to leave or you would not be able to think clearly, but standing here on the beach bought back a lot of old memories.

“Is the beach really that interesting?” Yongguk asks.

“It is calming to be here” you reply simply as you continue to stare at the ocean for a bit before going back to reading your book.

Yongguk sits next to you and for a second it is peaceful until he grabs your book and then makes a run for it.

“Hey!” you yell at him before running after him. You manage to catch up to him and grab him by his shoulders before jumping on his back.

You aren’t really thinking as you do so but Yongguk stumbles a little at your action but manages to maintain his balance and hold you up on his shoulders.

“Don’t drop that!” you say to him seriously and he simply gives you a cheeky smile.

“Shouldn’t you be more worried about yourself?” he asks as he pretends to drop you a little and you gasp in surprise.

“Okay! Than don’t drop me or my book!”

And he simply laughs.

You sigh at the small happy memory.

You missed him. You try to focus at the new book in your hand. you try to focus on the words but your mind cannot help but wonder some more as another memory comes into mind.

“Why did you wait?” you ask in a scolding tone and he simply shrugs.

“You idiot” you say as you open up the umbrella for the two of you.

It was raining heavily and yet he was waiting for you in the rain outside of your work. The two of you walk home in silence in the rain.

“Why?”

“Did you say something?” he asks and you shake your head.

“Let’s go home, it is a bit chilly tonight” is all you say and the two of you carry on walking in silence.

Your phone ringing brings you back to reality. Yongguk’s name is on your screen once more. You sigh. He was not giving up so you simply turn your phone off.

#54: Why’s there a pregnancy test in the trash? #94: You’re an idiot. I married an idiot.

Yongguk walked in after a long day at work to find you sitting on your bed curled up with a book. You were nearly asleep when he came over and kissed the top of your head. “Hey babe, how’s it going?”

“Pretty good.” You stretched and smiled up at him. “How was work?”

“It was good. We finished a song today that we’ve been working on for a while.” He slipped off his shirt and walked into the bathroom to wash his face. However, something caught his eye. “Hey, why’s there a pregnancy test in the trash?” He stuck his head out of the door to look at you with concern.

You squirmed and hid under the blankets. “No reason?” You could practically feel him approach the bed. He sat on the edge and looked down at you despite your blanket coverage.

“Are you feeling okay?” He asked, concern still in his tone.

You peeked out from the edge of the covers and nodded. “I.. This morning I just felt really off. And my period is late and I was freaking out and-”

Yongguk chuckled and kissed your forehead again. “I understand.” You relaxed, glad that he wasn’t going to make fun of you for reacting like you did. “I mean, if you’re that eager to have a baby, we could-”

“No, no, it’s fine!” You interrupted, freeing your hands from the blanket and placing your hands on his chest. “That’s definitely not what-”

He leaned in and kissed your lips. “I’m teasing.”

You pouted and smacked his shoulder lightly. “You’re an idiot. I married an idiot.”

“But I’m your idiot.” He laughed, keeping the atmosphere light.

You smiled at him. “Well yeah, that’s true.” You brought your hands up to cup his cheeks. “I love you.”

Yongguk leaned in and rested his forehead against yours, placing a kiss on your nose and lips. “I know. I love you, too.”

Bang Yongguk: Bad At Love Chapter 4

A/N: So finally chapter 4 is here for everyone who has been waiting! I hope you enjoy!

Summary: Your whole marriage with Yongguk was a lie and you were ready to live with it. Until your feelings start to get in the way.

You just drive all day long. You didn’t have a destination in mind and it wasn’t like you could go anywhere. You couldn’t go to your parents house, they would question you too much and you were not in the mood to answer anything. You just wanted to be alone and this meant going to a friend’s was also out of the question. They would only worry and you didn’t want to burned anyone about your situation, which you chose to be in it yourself.

You sigh.

You wanted to be far away from Yongguk. You didn’t need this anymore or want it anymore. He could figure this out on his own.

Your phone rings and you take a quick glance at it and as you predict, Yongguk’s name flashes on the screen. Your grip on the steering wheel tightens and you just ignore his call. He had been calling for a while now and you just carry on ignoring him. You didn’t want to deal with him.

After driving for a while you finally stop. It is quiet late by now and you get out of the car. You pull at your jacket to keep warm as you walk towards the river. You lean against the railing along the river and look up at the sky. The moon was out along with some twinkling stars. You just end up staring at the sky and think what you want to do for now. this is until you spot the diamond ring on your finger. It suddenly feels heavy on your finger. You slip it off as it glitters under the moon light and you feel yourself smiling a little but the reality hits you hard and fast.

You close your eyes and then throw it into the river with all your strength.

“What is the point?” you say to yourself just as your phone starts to ring once more.

Of course It is Yongguk again. This time you have some mercy on him and answer him.

“Hello?”

“Come back, please” he says and you instantly know that he has had one too many drinks.

“Just sign the papers” you say sternly and Yongguk just says please once more.

“You are drunk” you say with a roll of your eyes and you heard him laugh softly.

You can’t help the smile which graces your features at the sound of his carefree laugh. You loved to hear him laugh and it made you feel lighter but reality hits you once more.

“Just sign the papers and I will pick them up” you say coldly before hanging up on him.

Bang Yongguk: Bad At Love Chapter 3

A/N: Yey for new chapter. This chapter is more focused on Yongguk’s side of the story so I hope you enjoy.

Summary: Your whole marriage with Yongguk was a lie and you were ready to live with it. Until your feelings start to get in the way.

When Yongguk gets home, the house is quiet. It normally is like this so he doesn’t think much of it. It was late anyway and he guessed you were in bed like always. He moves around quietly, not wanting to wake you up. He slowly enters your bedroom but freezes when he sees that the bed is empty.

His brain tires to think about to anything you might have said about not being home today but he could only draw a blank. You normally told him if you were going away fro a bit to help your family or friends. Or you would have left a note for him if you had been called away on an emergency.

He looks around and can’t see a note anywhere. He then slowly notices that things are missing. Your shoes are gone, your table is empty. Your wardrobe is also almost empty. He feels worry and panic slowly take over him. He pulls his phone out and dials your number. He waits impatiently but there is no answer. He feels the worry raise as he calls you again, and again, and again. No answer.

He doesn’t get an answer.

Instead he sees the envelope you have left on the table along with the necklace. He slowly opens the envelop and he feels his heart drop.

He slowly puts the divorce papers back on your now empty table before he slowly walks into the living room. He slowly sits down on the sofa and vacantly stares at the wall. He then thinks back to an old memory.

Everyone watches the two of you as both of you say empty vows. They meant nothing to either of you and more to both of your parents.

Your eyes were emotionless and it made him feel like he was staring at his own. Neither if you felt anything and were here just because you felt like it. You were both here because you had to be. Just before the kiss to seal the deal you whispered something that Yongguk would promise he would keep.

“Don’t fall in love with me”

Only at that time he didn’t know you wouldn’t be able to keep the promise.

Bang Yongguk: Bat At Love Chapter 2

A/N: Hi! I have not forgotten about this series so here is chapter 2 for all of you who still remember this. 

Summary: Your whole marriage with Yongguk was a lie and you were ready to live with it. Until your feelings start to get in the way.

The next day when you wake up Yongguk is gone already. Like every day, he has left without a sign. If you hadn’t woken up when he got home last night you would have never known that he had come home at all. Not that it mattered anymore. Last night you had made your decision.

You get something to eat before going back to your room and grab an empty suitcase before slowly filling it up with your things. You didn’t think much about it and just put things you needed in there. You were gonna leave.

You are so focused that you end up packing up most of your things within an hour. You finally stop when you find a necklace. You can’t help but stop and reminisce the small memory attached with the necklace.

It was your birthday. Not that Yongguk knew, nor were you expecting him to do anything. You were more than happy to just spend it quietly doing things which made you happy.

It was the end of the day when you hear Yongguk come home. You are at your little table finishing up some things when he walks into your “shared” bedroom.

You look at him with a questioning look but he simply smiles and ever so softly wishes you a happy birthday. You remain confused.

“How did you know?” you ask and he smiles once more.

“I would lie but my mom told me about it and also told me to give you this” he says before giving you a small, neatly wrapped box.

“I guess I should thank your mom” you say with a laugh and he laughs too.

“Please don’t she would kill me, she wanted me to pretend it was from me” he says and you nod before slowly unwrapping it. You then open the box and see a small necklace with a little crystal moon hanging from it.

“It’s beautiful” you say softly as you look at the way the simple bedroom light reflects off the necklace. It really was beautiful and a small part of you was so happy.

He had then offered to put it on you and you had simply let him, not thinking too much about it then but now it hurt your heart to think about that small memory. It had not bothered you to know that his mother was behind it back then.

Now that you were in love with him, it was a hard pill to swallow. It had been almost a year since your marriage with Yongguk and nothing had changed. Except for your feelings.

You put the necklace back down. You take one last look at the now almost empty bedroom before taking out an envelop and placing it on your table. You sigh before walking out of the bedroom along with your suitcases and then you left.

“Please help me!” You stopped a familiar-looking man in his tracks. He turned around and in some part of your mind it registered that you knew him from somewhere. But that was not a priority right now. “There’s a guy following me and I’m freaking out.”

Jongup looked around and at first didn’t see anyone. Of course, he didn’t have his glasses on, but he wasn’t that blind. He squinted, looking around behind you. Then he thought he saw a shadow near a garbage can. That was all he needed to believe you. It was night time, which is never a good time to walk around by yourself. You were shaking slightly as you held onto his coat sleeve, placing your last bit of hope in this stranger.

Jongup smiled at you a bit before nodding. “I’m so glad you made it. I was beginning to worry.” He said in an extra loud voice while wrapping his arm around your shoulder. He pulled you close and began to steer you away from the dangers lurking in the night.

This was the second time someone had followed you this month. It was starting to really freak you out. As you walked with one arm awkwardly behind his back, you tried to call down. You thought back to how you knew this guy and realized he wasn’t actually a stranger; you had been in several classes together in college. He had changed his hair, but otherwise he seemed like the same Jongup as before.

“Thank you so much.” The relief in your voice made him hug you subconsciously as he tried to reassure you of your safety.

“It’s dangerous to walk around alone at night. Where were you going?” He asked, trying to keep the tone light. He didn’t want to seem like he was criticizing you or anything.

You sighed, figuring a lecture was coming. “I work a late shift on Fridays; I’m on my way home.”

“Oh, makes sense.” He nodded and moved to hold your hand instead, giving you both some personal space. “Well please be careful in the future.”

You nodded and continued walking in a comfortable silence all the way to your apartment building. “Thank you for your help tonight. I live right here.” You said, stopping and looking over at Jongup.

He looked around in mild surprise. “Oh, what a coincidence. My building is across the street.” He nodded to the other side of the road. “Must be fate.”

You chuckled, “Hey, pick up lines only work on me when I’m drunk.”

He laughed loudly and you joined in. “I’d like to see that.”

“Well maybe we should go get a drink sometime.” Before you knew it you had practically asked him out. You blushed, ready to retract your statement.

Instead he squeezed your hand lightly and nodded, looking into your eyes with a little smile. “Well maybe we should.”
