Conformitygate thought - everything post volume 1 is Mike having a Vecna vision. Vecna giving Mike an extreme amount of detail in this vision and making it so that he perceives everything as happening in real time and then right after the epilogue Mike wakes up and is extremely panicked and disoriented because from his perspective he just lived through 2 extra years even though it's only been maybe an hour at most

And Vecna's motivation for doing this is that he's seen how Will's emotional healing has given him so much physical strength and he knows how emotionally connected Will and Mike are, so he knows that in order to break Will down his optimal move would be to break Mike first

In this post it’s saying how Finn has been the only one to practically interact with tf85’ and not the other actors (probably should fact check or js go through the posts later to check)

And Finn playing Mike, who is the whole source of this break the cycle of conformity, good luck Mike!, and being queerbaited (I’m pretty sure these apply here ?😭), is literally the exact person that we’re probably gonna hear something from. Especially because it’s only him who is talking about it.

now to add onto this theory with some of my own little thoughts and observations of what I read in the previous post. I had a thought that maybe, with all of the imagery of Finn dressing and standing like Henry (which I do agree it could just be stance choice and style choice but wtv), and him vagueposting with things like ‘wait for the horse!’ and things like that. Kind of strange right (but I mean, we’ve seen stranger things)

Maybe MAYBE, the whole tf85’ is Finn/Mike, being trapped in Vecnas mind, reliving memories from season 2, which would explain why they’ve decided to go back to this season in particular when it could’ve been any other one.

OR, instead of reliving the memories, he’s gone back in time or has just become trapped. And with Nikki, I’ve always had the thought about her being another spy character, that she’s actually just vecna being there to keep an eye on them and on Mike (or Will since she’s the one who’s supposed to help out Will in tf85’ apparently)

Having the whole tales from 85’ be a ‘theatrical release’ is also hella suspicious because of the ‘play within a play’ thing with vecna, which could be here as well, with it being a theatrical release and with the first shadow coming to Netflix soon (I dunno when) it’s all just so, aligned. I mean LITERALLY LOOK:

I don’t think that the IMDb stuff was real, like with the release of the titles and the run times being THAT kind of weird, and along with the runtimes not matching with the amount they said they were gonna release tf85’ in theaters too. (55 mins I believe). Especially with the fact anyone can go in and change it if they have an account. I feel like I’ll only believe the titles and runtimes if it was on a different platform that was official and can’t be edited by the public. Cause either someone thinks they’re so funny and suck a jokester or this is actually what they are (the titles and runtimes)(which I kinda doubt).

To wrap this up, maybe tf85’ is a vecna time travel (BECAUSE OF THE AMOUNT IF REFERENCES TO TIME TRAVEL AND LIKE THAT ONE POST BY FINN TOO), and Mike is trapped or is there re-watching his memories through some sort of eyes of the viewer??

The Conformitygate brainworms were eating my brain when I got an ad on Instagram for the DVD and Blu-ray box sets of the entirety of Stranger Things.

It seems suspicious to me and it got me wondering, why?

Why promote and sell DVDs of the show everyone and their mother is upset about? (Other than the fact it makes money)

Well, as one of my friends rightly suggested, (thank you @calnori ) they could possibly have additional content in these DVDs, like they used to do back in the day.

Or, they could be hinting at a soft deadline (I will expand on this later)

I'm filled with rage, too. The execution of what they're doing is flawed to the point of being harmful. When you wait too long for the reveal and commit to the bit of being heartless and mocking the marginalized fans, you run the risk of normalizing the behavior you claimed to hate.

By the time the real ending hits, Byler and queer fans and especially women and girls will still be treated like a joke. If the Duffers make a statement about bullying and homophobia and sexism later, it's going to ring hollow because of the way the cast and the finale shit on the fans for months.
