i have a neurological disability that makes me very light sensitive and limits my vision in certain light conditions and that necessarily affects how i present things visually. if something is very low contrast or mid-tones, that is why.

April 2026 Update

So, good and bad.

Good: I finally moved out of my old living situation

Bad News: I need a lot of new supplies due to my parents incompetence, including working kitchen appliances and a new computer so i can actually Properly do art or anything. In the meantime I'm trying to pivot to doing translation and editorial work which isn't resource-intensive.

(re: kitchen appliances, I'm basically in a complete bind with cooking because i only have a one burner electric stove that can't heat things enough to cook and a rice cooker that caught fire upon first use to cook 1 cup of white rice. really.)

Actually, even writing this post is giving my computer issues. I AM applying for jobs but it would help a lot in the short term if you can help. Maybe I can even actually play a video game for once

Inbetween writing that last bit and now I dug into my survival funds to buy a new computer which amounts to 3 months of rent cost here

Update. Still looking for jobs. Not able to take on any freelance this month bc late autumn and winter weather worsen symptoms of all my chronic illnesses so even eating and basic home upkeep is hard.

should hopefully still make some art posts this month but not as fast due to half the day being miserable
