Leave him? That prompted a faint hum into the returned kiss, her hold on him tightening slightly. “I promise. I won’t ever leave you, sweetling- You’ll never be alone, I swear it. I don’t know what has you so afraid… But you won’t have to fight it alone.” Her smile grew some, fingers running through his hair slowly in hopes of calming him some. “Promise.”

Sinbad attacked her in a hug and laid on top of her as he kissed at her neck sweetly. “Thank you…” he mumbled.

Hums turned to laughter, willingly falling back with the tackle to hug him closer. Wriggling a little under him, she pulled a pillow under her head and cupped his cheek, guiding him up for a soft kiss. “No need to thank me, silly… I love you. I will never, ever leave your side, I swear it.”

Sinbad sighed in relief. “Good…” he mumbled. He slumped over completely, his nose nuzzled into the crook of her neck. “You’re warm and you smell nice… I don’t think I ever want to move again.”

“You’ll have to in the morning, you know, for work. And I only smell good because of the soap I used in the bath.” She laughed a bit harder, hugging him tightly. “You’re so silly… How can you work if you’re laying on me?”

Sin usually saw all, and knew her far better than to believe her lie - especially when she couldn’t lie for beans - and she knew that likely wouldn’t be the end of it. “Nothing… Just… Something that h-happened in town.”

And combined with that kiss, it was all she could do to wrap her arms around him, nuzzling his shoulder. “It’s silly… A-A few people in t-town insulted m-me. It shouldn’t matter…” Only it clearly did, and she felt horrible for even being affected by it.

He’d show them a lesson. How dare anyone mistreat his beloved Sera.

She’d just… Never met any quite harsh before, or the stall owners in the market that’d agreed with them. “It’s n-nothing, Sin. It was over I-in a few minutes… I’m f-fine.”

Sera shook her head, face hidden in his shoulder. She knew him too well; if she said anything more, he’d have them removed from the country, at least-! “Mm-mm. J-Just stay here w-with me…? It’s o-over, Sin. I let m-my guard down t-too much, that’s all. You have admirers… It w-was a bad mix.”

Sinbad pursed his lips and stood. He walked over to Titus and sat down next to him, then pulled him into his lap. “Have you been drunk before? You don’t seem to be handling this well,” he murmured with concern.

Titus squeaked and flopped into the young man’s lap, touching a hand to his chest and resting his head softly there with a smile.

“I drink. It’s somethun we have to do in Reim! Especially since wine is such a special drink there. I just feel wombly after one, which is different from other people.”

Well, that explained it. “Ah, so you’re a lightweight,” Sinbad chuckled. He sweetly kissed the top of Titus’ head. “No more for you tonight, okay?”

“Alright, Mr. King. I have to follow a King’s orders in his own country, right? Is that how politics work here?”

Titus laughed a little in the other’s lap, looking up to him. His gaze continued, looking blankly to the man and dropping his smile. For a moment he simply looked to his eyebrows with no explanation, then continued with a hiccup,

“Your eyebrows look like caterpillars.”

The feeling of being offended dispersed quickly when Sinbad remembered that Titus was drunk. He had to be patient with the younger one. "Caterpillars, eh?" he chuckled. "That's one way to see them as."

He took a sip from his cup of wine and squinted his eyes down at the Magi. "Your eyebrows just look like little lines to me," he said.

He almost laughed in happiness that his efforts had been appreciated so much. Although the king looked happy, his energy shifted slightly. It was a little unsettling to the young mage, but he followed as the other wished, trusting in him enough.

“Oh, it’s alright! I thought it would be good to celebrate our friendship!”

Titus spoke truthfully, happy that their two countries had recently agreed to a somewhat alliance. Or, at least to be on equal terms. And in Titus’ eyes, he knew that meant there was all the better chance for a new friend. Inside of the box sat a blanket for two, carefully embroided with reim olive branches on the trim and made from a nice warm material of soft and fluffy wool. He hadn’t made it himself, but he sure had custom ordered it from one of the finest crafters.

“Go ahead!” He beamed, “Open it!”

Sinbad opened the gift and broke into a laugh when he pulled out the lovely blanket. "I love this! Thank you!!!" he exclaimed. At once, he draped it over his shoulders like a cape and hugged himself, enjoying the fuzzy warmth it gave him.

It was a truly great gift indeed, but Sinbad felt awful for not having something to give in return... "Titus... Come here for a second," he urged.
