@barbiersimone
Well, depends on the situation. Was alcohol involved?
There was no alcohol.Â
âIt just happens. Some people are so fucking stupid, I donât even want to talk about it.â
âOkay, but like...why? Iâm sick of dealing with idiots Dav.â
âOh, well, then I guess you know where Iâm coming from then. I donât even know why I left to be honest with you..â
âExploring other parts of the world? I have no idea, since Iâm not you. But I left because my sister and I made a pact once I graduated to move in together. And we moved to Boston.â
âIâm surprised my phone isnât dead from the amount Iâve used it today. It feels like my ear is permanently ringing.â
âThatâs exactly how I feel. Iâm right there with you.â
âTry BaltimoreâŚI can bet you any amount of money the weather is better here than there.â
âIâve been there. Iâve got a hotel there, actually.â
âYeah, one of the things I never got used to was the weatherâŚyouâd think after being gone four years you would miss it.â
âThat is very true. I lived in Boston. The weather is so much different than down here in Southport.â
âWow, things sure havenât changed around here, have they?â
âWell, it comes with time passing. And the storm that just barreled on through.â
âLeft at the end of the block then left, left at the end of the block then left. Got it.â he said, patting at his pockets in an attempt to find his marker, deciding that he really ought to write the directions down.
Simone watching him for a minute before taking the pen from behind her ear, she always kept one there because she needed to take notes or something when she was doing phone calls. She held it out to him with a small smile. âPen?â
âIâve been non-stop on the phone trying to get things sorted and together for my new store, and nobodyâs being any help on the other lines.â
âOh, I know what thatâs like. Every employee of mine thought I was dead because my phone died now Iâm calling everywhere reassuring them that, no, Iâm alive.â
Free booze and puppies to everybody who joins?
Iâm too lazy for that.
Well then the town wonât change at all.Â
âI donât mean to be a pain in the arse but could you possibly point me in the right direction, Iâm um- here, Iâm trying to get here.â Tully explained, handing the person opposite him a laminated note which read âhomeâ and an address below.
âBit lost, Iâm afraid.â
Simone hung up the phone and turned to look at the guy who was talking to her. âOh, uh.â She took the note and looked at it for a minute. âYou just...â She turned her head and thought. âTake a left at the end of the block and then....another left.â She paused, âI think.â
âI feel like my ear is going to fall off with all the phone calls I made today. I definitely need a drink tonight.â
âI am right there with you. I havenât gotten off this stupid phone since the storm ended.â

Rachel: no need to rub it it simone...
Rachel: but wait which one
Simone: you could always come over
Simone: we just finished lion king so now we're on to the sequel.
âWhy didnt it happen? I-I mean Iâm glad that it didnt because that would be weird..âÂ
âRelax, it didnât happen cause we moved. Or, we were planning on coming back down here so it didnât end up working out.â
Jesus, everybody in this town is so highly strung. You all need to relax.
You should put together a meeting if you really want to do something about that.
