Coins from the Mongolian Empire dated between the 13th and 14th Centuries on display at the Manchester Museum in Manchester, England
The Mongolian invasion of the 13th Century changed the Islamic world. Although early coinage followed the existing local types, Ghazan Mahmud introduced a standard silver coin throughout the empire at the turn of the 14th Century. A century later Tamerlane replaced is with the silver tanka.
30 - Gold double dinar of the Mongol Great Khan, Ghengis (or his son Ogodai), 1206 - 1241.
31 - Silver dirham of the Ilkhanid Ghazan Mahmud, Arzenjan, 1300.
32 - Silver tanka of Tamerlane, 1370 - 1405.
