After many years of hard work and with the financial help of an old family friend, Mr. Grey, and the support of his nephews Fili and Kili, Thorin has managed to regain a considerable amount of wealth that allows him to nurture the hope that he could reclaim Erebor Manor, which is his by right of birth. Thorin, robbed of his legacy, and Thranduil, chasing after a dead man’s promise, are burning with hate for Smaug and each other. When one day, Thorin’s nephew Kili meets Thranduil’s niece Lady Tauriel during a hunt, the two of them fall head over heels in love with each other; but the feud which has been tearing their families apart for years also threatens to put their love to a test. Meanwhile, Thorin plans to retrieve what is his with the help of Mr. Baggins, a celebrity lawyer from London – but everything changes when suddenly, war is declared between Germany and the United Kingdom. Can they lay aside old feuds and truly stand united in the face of an even greater enemy?
