sincere delight briefly takes hold of facial expression in response, painted lips curving upwards as the words embolden her pride before composure is quickly regained. the golden shell of the elite / her (former?) best friend had been gone for almost a year & life had moved forward as it always did. the earth had continued to move on its axis and a new queen had risen in her absence the now far more hardened girl that had been left behind without even a goodbye.
