it also contains one-third of blue guy’s consciousness because he uploaded it to the dog

in this route the dog’s programming (=blue guy) gets reuploaded again to a human body

the body belonged to blue guy’s twin brother who willingly sacrificed himself for the project

I’m so tired of Nintendo handing out expired MREs like it’s a fresh gourmet dish, I just can’t bother with them anymore. Let old games look old! Absolutely they deserve to be accessible on technology more obtainable than discontinued consoles and devices but we don’t need to an idea perpetuating that graphics limited by technology or deliberate styling are inherently inferior, and we don’t need to be knee-capping the artistic integrity of contemporary developers by limiting them to the scaffolds of yesteryear

I’ll gladly concede that the 3D zeldas are visually impaired by the sheer power of your average tv or computer by this point, rendering originally intentional impressionist stylings or gritty textures into blurry blobs and greying colours, but in the HD “remasters” you get shit like painfully flat png walls and— well I was going to say the fuckass tornado from Skyward Sword but looking at uploads of the original cutscene, it didn’t look much better.

Anyway, what even are they going to do about the Gerudo? Are they going to dress them up in prettier bellydancer outfits and leave them written the same? Are they going to give them a little more varied dialogue; something about how they disagree with Ganondorf’s leadership? What could Nintendo do that wouldn’t come across as erasure of the problem, dismissal of long-held criticism, or like throwing a little bandaid over it? These are just my initial thoughts. I at least hope whatever happens with the writing respects the players media literacy. That’s really my bare minimum for any media but I wouldn’t put it past Nintendo to dull their own writing to make it more palatable, like changing Nabooru and Ruto’s attraction to Link to some mild thing about friendship (though Nabooru’s comments to child Link about wanting to bang him if he were older were weird)

I can’t even play this game without shelling out something like $700 so there’s no way in hell I’ll be on it anyhow. Why do that when I can get another classic Final Fantasy game on steam for seven buckaroos?
