Barney sighed as the line rang. The woman that answered--Roz, her name was--had a seductive voice. When she patched him through to the doc, the first thing he said was, "So, that producer of yours... is she single?" (Barney-Not-Swarley)

The phrase was not what he expected to hear after the call. “Well… You’ve come to the right place. The first thing is to state that you have a problem.”

“You know, Doc. I thought I did have a problem, but now I think Roz may be just the medicine I needed.” Though Frasier couldn’t see it, Barney smiled hugely as he spoke.

After that, I had one challenge and one challenge only. Get Robin Scherbatsky to fall in love with me. Challenge completed.

“Stinson. Barney Stinson. I’m a bit like James Bond. I look awesome in suits and I get all the ladies.” Barney couldn’t help but wink at a blonde that just walked in. 

“It’s nice to meet you.” It was hard not to crack a smile when he compared himself to James Bond, his curiosity getting the better of him. Who was this man? How had he never met him before? “I’m sure that you’re exactly like James Bond.” Looking over when Barney winked, his head tilted. “You can go talk to that woman if you’d like. I would be a hard person to be a wingman for. I mean, I’m not really into women.”

“I definitely will,” Barney said before downing the rest of his scotch. He was about to get up to approach the blond, but ended up sighing and looking over at Philip. “Nah. There’s someone that’s been on my mind, and she...” Wait, why was he telling him this? It wasn’t his business. “Anyway, I’m a very good wingman. I’ve landed my brother lots of guys.”

“Come on Barney, I’ve seen the way that you look at Robin!” Ted exclaimed getting slightly frustrated with him.

Barney felt his cheeks heat up. He never blushed, at least not like this. Robin was at the bar getting her drink, and he couldn’t help but gaze at her for slightly longer than he meant to. “That doesn’t prove anything,” he said, dropping his gaze to look at Ted.

Ted sighed and looked at barney’s pink cheeks. “Don’t you want to settle down at some point? …. I know how much you love having one night stands but get her before you loose her.. Girls like Robin don’t come along often.” He thought back to when they use to date and how badly he missed it.

“Me? Settle down?” Barney exclaimed as. though it were the most inconvenient thing in the world. “No one can tie down the Barnacle.” He sipped at his drink. Though, he wouldn’t have minded being with Robin. “Robin is pretty great, isn’t she?”

Ted nodded trying to hide the fact that he still had feelings for her. But if he can’t have her at least one of his best friends can, right? “Yes! She is-” he stopped himself when he saw Robin coming over to the table.

“Oh, hey, Robin,” Barney said with a grin. “Did you see how hot that girl was?” He gestured to the blonde at the bar. “I bet I can pick her up by convincing her I’m a heart surgeon.”

Robin sat down beside him “yeeah or you can join me in some… lasertag!” She suggested knowing how much he enjoyed it and hoping to use it as a way to get closer to him.
