I had nothing to do with the bubble cloud that descended on the town today. Maybe.
A bubble cloud? Is that what that was..?

[Swirls around in his chair absently]
You… you want me to tell you a story? You don’t want to read one?
Got it in one. Bet you’re better than any book around here.
Oh well I don't know about that!
Bored now.
What a shame. [Pats him on the shoulder] I’m sure you’ll come up with something brilliant in no time.
[Jumps at the contact and recoils slightly] I... Um...
[Swirls around in his chair absently] // Chester & Elijah
Uh…no. I’m guessing you don’t know. Um… ((Elijah said, sighing heavily.)) He passed away…car accident. It was fatal.
Oh. Uh... [rubs the back of his head] I'm sorry... Sorry about your loss. I, uh...Â
[Swirls around in his chair absently]
Hm, the job seems tacky but it looks like good money for doing nothing important. Wait wait, went mad? Okay, totally not cool.Â
Ha! Believe me, the money is not good. Not compared to what I used to get anyway when I was a professor..Â
[Swirls around in his chair absently]
Hmm… tell me a story, Professor. Surprise me.
You... you want me to tell you a story? You don't want to read one?
[Swirls around in his chair absently]
What sort of, uh, entertainment are you looking for?
What options do you have?
Anything! It's a library, you could read fiction, non-fiction... Sci-fi, fantasy, myth, legend, romance....
[Swirls around in his chair absently]
[Jumps in surprise as his chair stops moving but smiles shyly as he sees its Sylvie] Hi.. Uh, it’s uh.. It’s going okay, boring but yeah… How are you?
Come on, you’re an imaginative guy, I bet you could find some way to stop the boredom. [Letting go of his chair, she straightens up and shrugs] I’m in the pursuit of entertainment and I’ve heard from a reliable source that books are good for that.
What sort of, uh, entertainment are you looking for?
[Swirls around in his chair absently]
Sure you can, it’s always good to learn new things. [he takes a book off the shelf and flicks through it] Yep, pretty much on my own all day.
[she scoffs and crosses her arms] Are there no other librarians? Seems like a nice job to have. Â
Nope! Just me, I replaced the last guy. Think he went mad. Good job I already am!
[Swirls around in his chair absently]
[he studies her for a second, a small smile tugging on his lips] you’re an interesting one… [he walks off, down an aisle of the library, looking up at files on the shelves]
Am I not allowed to learn new things? Whatever, it’s for a school thing. [feeling embarrassed by her lie, she looks to the floor and kicks it.] So, do you just stay here alone all day?Â
Sure you can, it's always good to learn new things. [he takes a book off the shelf and flicks through it] Yep, pretty much on my own all day.
[Swirls around in his chair absently]
And you want a book on collections? Like an archive file?
I guess that would be nice. Anything to make me more knowledgeable on the topic.

[pauses for a long moment] …Then I’m not too sure what you’re looking for. What sort of antiques are you interested in?
I don’t know..the sort that people collect? The old and valuable kind?
And you want a book on collections? Like an archive file?
[Swirls around in his chair absently]
[thinks for a moment] Any antiques in particular? We’ve got a great historical section towards the back.
Uh no…just antiques and things in general. Great but I need something not boring and informative.Â
[pauses for a long moment] ...Then I'm not too sure what you're looking for. What sort of antiques are you interested in?
Erm, well my parents are really superstitious I guess they gave that to me too… They were always telling me to be careful of mirrors and stuff. Just not to break them, something to do with your soul. They had this big old book about mirror lore that they used to read...
Well it sounds pretty incredible to me... I'm going to guess your dad isn't around so much anymore?
[Swirls around in his chair absently] // Chester & Elijah
Mirrors? Really? ((He said, raising a brow and shrugging a bit.)) What about them? It’s just a piece of glass that’s been painted on one side to show a reflection.
Erm, well my parents are really superstitious I guess they gave that to me too... They were always telling me to be careful of mirrors and stuff. Just not to break them, something to do with your soul. They had this big old book about mirror lore that they used to read to me. I'll go dig it up one day and show it to you.
[Swirls around in his chair absently] // Chester & Elijah
((Elijah followed behind, his eyes scanning over the books.)) Thanks. ((He said, smiling to the man as he looked over his shoulder at Elijah.)) It’s a really good book. It’s a suspense thriller type book. Psychological horror type thing. It’s about this painting that haunts the house, causing the mother to go insane and destroying the very foundation of her family. It’s pretty crazy.
It sounds crazy. I don't think I'd like it, I had enough stories of things haunting houses from stories I heard as a kid from my parents. About mirrors and such.
[Swirls around in his chair absently] // Chester & Elijah
John Saul’s Nightshade? It’s really good and I remember reading it in high school. I lost my copy out of the bus window.
Check 'S' in the fiction section. Here, I'll show you. [He gets up from his chair and starts walking towards the back of the library before looking over his shoulder to see if Elijah is following] I think we should have at least one copy.
