My wee video clips from India all in one place!
Bombay/Mumbai my last views of India.
Bombay! Visiting the shops and sights of one of the biggest cities in the world and relaxing by the pool with Jess for two days. Going out at night to listen to an Indian rapper. Was a good way to end my last week in India!
Chuffed!
It was like being back at uni. Too much fun for one day!
Moving on from my holidays with Amy to stay with Jess, a fellow textiles girl working in Mumbai. I have been desperate to do some proper block printing so after some googling I found Mrs Rao. Jess turned it into a research trip for work and we had a day of hands on designing.
This is the colour mixing and picking of our blocks......it took us a wee while to get the right shades!
1200 steps. To show your devotion to your husband you are supposed to put a small bit of colour on every step while saying “please bless my husband”. It was hard enough just to walk up them in 38 degrees, bending down at every step would have made the trek much harder…..glad I don’t have a husband!
Chai
Amy's last night. By "Mayamy" ........Charbotalvodkanamkerarozka!!!!
You are very pretty but please stop pecking my window it is very early in the morning!
I love Indian Trains. Wrong side of the track. 6am. Thrill seekers. Wakey wakey.
More Indian Vanity with mehndi deisigns and the most fragrant jasmine you can imagine in our hair. We ended up buying pure jasmine perfume to remind us of the smell of all the ladies waiting to go into the temples.........we will just forget all the other smells India has to offer, I won't be bottling them to take home!
Scooting around India for £2 a day. Indian roads suit me…..very little rules and just press your horn when things are getting tough! Our moped was called Mango!
I love Hampi, jumping off rocks, getting rides in coracles and scooting around the countryside on my moped I named Mango!
Beautiful palaces, saris that make my eyes dance, loud noises and chai. Just a few reasons why India is magnificent.
