Bartholomew didn’t come to Alumni Night the past years for multiple reasons. One being that he wasn’t able to get there, being in another continent. Another being that he was too busy, or that he forgot about the invitation.
But this year, there wasn’t any conflict in his agenda and he felt like not going would be rude and ungrateful to the academy that gave him the chance to become what he is now. So he drove back to Astor Academy for the first time in years.
The memories came back so suddenly when he parked his car in the same spot as he used to. He remembered how pressured he was, between football, classes and parties, and his secret affair with his teacher. He has always been good at functioning in situations with stress or anxiety. But now that his life had different problematics than ten ou twelve years ago, he wondered how he was able to do it. He fixed his suit and proceeded to join the party.
The place hadn’t change. Except from the theatre, he had heard, and he was curious about it. He put a note in a corner of his mind to go take a look if he had the chance. But for now, he was heading to the west wing. Which, if he remembered, was not where the last Alumni Nights took place.
He presented his invitation and was guided to the dining hall there. He was supposed to meet some of his old college friends that night, some who texted him, confirming they will be there.

ASTOR ACADEMY
• Bartholomew was granted a scholarship to play as wide receiver in Astor’s football team the Silver Scorpions.
• He graduated from Astor in Archeology in 2007 and got his master in 2009.
• He was known as a party animal for the first two and a half years, always partying and doing crazy stuff. He eventually calmed down, focusing more on his classes and his games as he realized he had to graduate.
• There were rumors going on about him dating one of the professors. He never confirmed the rumors, to protect her reputation and status. But if you ask him about it now, it was true.
• Bartosz was very outgoing, sociable, charming, funny, always joking around. He could have been seen as hyper active, a bit of a clown sometimes. He was a bit cocky, but that was the effect of being a jock.
• He liked gossip, but never started it. But when trusted with a real secret, he would be a tomb.
• His friends know how generous he can be, and how he would never ask for help, thinking he could solve any of his problems by himself (which often put him even more in trouble). He is not comfortable about expressing himself and talking about his feelings.
• He loves buying or repairing old things he found on flea markets. He cherishes everything that is ancient. Especially ancient art and artefacts.
• He speaks english and polish. He learned spanish at school, ancient greek in high school, and arabic in college.
• His profession allows him travel around the world, in countries such as Greece, Libya, Egypt, Thailand, Italy or Cambodia. He also teaches history classes in public universities.
