do you know what it looks like when a star goes out? It looks like the glint off of the edge of a snapped safety razor

sometimes they collapse in on themselves and ball up into a point of pure darkness

I’ve seen it happen the earth beneath me shook and I tried to grab on

I didn’t want the light to vanish so I held on and I decided I decided I wasn’t going to feel anything

I was just going to keep holding and it was just going to keep crushing me and my chest went numb and my arms went numb and I couldn’t tell where my face was or whether I had one any more and and and and!

trapped

between omnipotence and a sense of total helplessness I tried so hard and came so far but in the end, 

it still mattered and I can’t let go of the mark on my chest or the ring on my finger or the lock that was left at the western edge of the great wall

i think it was almost tanabata and it was raining and the birds didn’t come so I just cried and cried and cried. I’m hoping next year is a little nicer

I used to think that I would be satisfied just to feel anything at all and you probably wondered what poems I would write about you.

major trauma/trauma major

to set pen to paper is to teach it and  learning is the opposite of healing so you’d better choose to adjust your expectations accordingly

i did when i tried to steal the beach but couldn’t even leave a small scar; shoveling sand shoveling sad right into my mouth buried, not burying and no one buying it after all

omnipresent, ubiquitous, trivially present and trivially obtained; but neither can you forget, at this moment, on the beach, so casually drinking in the sparkling sunset that spreads unceasingly; but!

neither you nor i can ever forget the sands that still churn along the tides within our bodies

in 2012 i did Illuminati Power Day, a 24-hour livestream by myself. it was such an epic day for building friendships and community on the internet, so many connections were made and strengthened.. talking over video chat, over the course of hours, great bonds can be forged. hang out in the chat room of this for a few hours and i can almost gaurantee you’ll make some awesome friends..

I'm not sure what I'm waiting for and worry that the afterglow has worn thin or; i've done it to myself by choosing with actions, not determination, not heart whatever was made clean in me has been dirtied again, the clarity well and truly receding into murky depths

what is a life that does not strive; does not reach for something greater? one pulled back and forth by whim and weakness and i've only ever given in to it; a delicate touch that I destroy again and again with brash blows

because i want to cry and speak about those silences and pauses and if the space between notes is music the space between you and i must be god

i'm strip mining the past for resources and emotional stimulus because my demand drops precariously to a new low and

i never knew how to put things together in a pleasing way like our bodies, back to the double-headed dragon it's been a herculean task for nothing or may have just been a bolder gesture but i've always been meek and convinced that i'd inherit all of it

our promises have been thoroughly broken but did  you know that endocranial pressure is such that our brains literally etch onto the insides of our skulls

I'll take failure over nothing and ask you to do the same I'm a sucker for simple, emotive moments like a young, pure girl firing an arrow into a monster and triumphant music plays and I start to cry because

one of you held out longer than the rest of us but it doesn't count for anything if you don't follow through! someone talked about punching past the target today but my fist can only hover inches over your shoulder tough boy, tough boy

I'm still crying, I think, grieving for certainty in righteousness as something so vague as a feeling wells up and exerts its particular pressure within me and I feel it when my chest constricts and ticks until what? Fireworks?
