"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (NIV)

Currently obsessed with Christian contemporary art.
1. The Holy Trinity
2. St. John & Jesus
3. Annunciation
4. Ascension
5. The Manifestation of Christ
For being a genius theologian, he had bad handwriting.
St. Thomas having such poor penmanship, he had to have a secretary to write his works, so we should thank Reginald of Piperno for that.
.
It's details like these that I find so funny, I have the same problem as Thomas.
One night while St. Thomas Aquinas was praying in the chapel of his priory, one of his Dominican brothers, Br. Dominic Caserta, hid in the chapel to watch the saintly man pray. One can imagine his astonishment when the crucifix began to speak to Thomas! Our Lord asked St. Thomas, who was lying prostrate on the floor, “You have written well of me, Thomas. What reward will you receive from me for your labor?” (Of course, Christ spoke to Thomas in Latin!) St. Thomas’ response was simply, “Domine, non nisi Te.” “Lord, nothing except you.”
St. Thomas Aquinas, Doctor Angelicus
Dominican friar, philosopher and theologian. To think he was set to become a Benedictine abbot, instead he joined the unlikely poor friars of the Dominicans to become part of the radical mission in preaching the word of Christ.
.
I was not as familiar with this St. Thomas back then, but now knowing a lot more, I'm becoming so fond of him and his life.
A young Thomas during vespers
Thinking of the how every saints at one point had sang, and I just thought of our dear theoligian and what his voice would've sounded like.
this is what going to a classical catholic school from age 8 onwards is like
This Thomas Aquinas guy is cooking but I’ve only ever ate McDonald’s
My takes are objectively correct tyvm
