Hi everyone!! I know, right, HOLY SHIT an update from my Tumblr?? As you may or may not know, a lot of changes have been happening for me in the last few years. After college, I struggled to find a career while transitioning out of my hat-making business, Boshi-Basiik. I ended up falling into production and staying in that field for a few years.
Boshi-Basiik officially closed at the end of 2013 after 10 awesome years. I was also working full time in the accounting office at a great studio here in Los Angeles. I've also been struggling with some vision related issues and ended up quitting my full time job recently, as I could no longer commute safely and the nature of my work was only making my vision problems worse.
What I'm getting at is... I'm taking this all as a sign that THIS is the right opportunity to pursue my dream of supporting myself with creative endeavors. Now I'm in a position where I can finally get back into my hobbies and hopefully turn them into something more. It's ABSOLUTELY terrifying to leave the security of a stable job, but I am also SO excited to see where I go on my own.
So, with that, I've transitioned my alias online from basiik to ohhisusiepie. I've opened a new Tumblr to share what I'm working on in my new-found days of freedom.
