i left the grocery store last night to boogie home in my wheelchair, and in front of the store i passed a family carrying their groceries home on foot (we had checked out at about the same time). the dad(?) looked at me and said to his family “hey, he’s got wheels!” and then said to me “i bet you could carry our stuff!” which felt gross. i think it was intended to be a friendly joke but i felt like an object :(
