Aww. Godoka forgives Orikoās killing of her in Sadness Prayer and takes her and Kirika to Meguca heaven.
I think this is rather interesting. Oriko doesn't accept herself here. She doesn't decide to accept the "weak" person who wanted bonds. She decides to accept Kirika.
At first I wasn't too fond of this, but thinking about it, I think it's about how Oriko was treating Kirika as a pawn. Saying that she will accept all of Kirika is really also her way of saying "I understand that I love you." To love and accept Kirika means to reciprocate Kirika's love back.
Basically it's a love confession.
Another interesting thing I want to bring up is that the outcome of reading her fatherās diary is different in the manga. In the manga, this causes Oriko to freak out but she ends up losing her grasp on her identity instead of doubling down to reaffirm it.
In the manga, Oriko has never felt more untethered in her life, while in the game, Oriko is now attached to her destiny beyond all logic and reason.
I think the reasoning for this is in the manga things were going pretty well for her up to this point, while in the game sheās been hit with setback after setback. Itās like coming to a turn in the roadā in the manga she canāt manage to turn in time, but in the game sheās slowed down enough that she can cope with it and follow the path with ease.
Of course, in the manga, this is where Kirika comes in. Kirika is the one to bring Oriko back on the path. The two have had this downward descent and now there is no stopping. But in the gameā¦
Oriko is the one to bring Kirika back into the plan. This is significant when you consider that Oriko was trying to keep Kirika out of the important fight, instead tasking her with distraction and redirection.
But not any more. Itās time for Kirika to kill. Oriko wonāt do this alone, even if it means dirtying anotherās hands. After all, itās justified if youāre saving the world.Ā
