a whole punch of loose sketches for different character concepts for death's smithy. more under the cut!

the first two are sebastion ad his roommate/best friend, who is yet unnamed. seb and her live in a small fishing village outside of the City, and supply it with fish. they also manage a few vacation rental cabins, though their hearts are really in the fish.

shelly is an antique evaluator/explorer who likes to romp around in the woods on her off days. she's one of mama ursa's employees.

the mama and her baby don't really have lore yet, but in my head the mama is a florist. they're based off the girl scouts kangaroo plushie, which i've had for yearssss and only just now put a design to.

(actually, all of the first four are based off old plushies of mine! seb is a seagull, his roommate is a pelican, shelly is a turtle, and mama and baby are the kangaroo and baby roo.)

the last two are more experimental and i'm not sold on their designs yet, but they're the heralds of summer and winter. they travel the world, chasing the solstice, doomed ever to meet, just to hear tales of the other and wish they could.

i love writing lore and going back on lore and rewriting lore and making comics about lore and-

Some character designs for the Death's Smithy universe that I haven't posted yet. Vito is Icarion's twin brother and another god of Death; Mama Ursa is the town's local goddess of safety and guidance; and Sirius is the town's local god of blacksmithing and travel. In this world, the range of a given god is bound to the people that believe in them; Ursa, Vito, and Sirius couldn't leave if they wanted to, though usually they don't.

Eden and Winnie Lear are a couple who manage some farmland in Muggzy's town, though Eden also plays the guitar while Winnie likes to sew. They also act as Teo's legal parents when anything legal crops up, though he likes to visit everyone in town.

Eden and Winnie (the cat and the owl) are effectively Teo's moms; he stays at their place most of the time, and his room and belongings are there. Icarion is clingy and hates being alone. Vito is a horrible person.
