It's really disappointing when people have such a lack of respect and no boundaries what so ever when it comes to certain things.
Every time I see yet another person has followed [insert band name here] to their hotel... I cringe and shake my head because I myself do not understand what is going on in peoples minds to think that for one minute this is okay.Ā
It's a home away from home, are you going to show up at their actual home next? No, so don't follow them to their hotel or anything for that matter. I may be wrong with some artist but a lot of them do try to meet fans outside after the show, even if it's just a brief encounter, and for some that isn't good enough.Ā
I was just told about a girl who followed a band to a hotel and she was all "they were so lovely and i'm sure they were happy to see me because they weren't yelling at me". The problem with this is, if they are nice to you then you are saying in your head this is okay for me to do, I'm going to go post it online so everyone knows just how incredibly nice said band is. Now lets flip the switch, lets say they aren't nice to you or if they say "i'm sorry, i'm not feeling well or i'm tired... chances are you're going to go online and Ā say well they refused to take a picture with me and it was seriously just me there, I don't understand it. they are so mean" You will post about it online and some people may fail to see that you actually went out of your way to follow them to their hotel and will actually feel sorry for you when they should feel sorry for the band because you over stepped. Just because a band is nice to when you follow them does not mean it's okay.
