what do you think of gen 1 of my little pony?

I love g1!!!! I'm in the process of collecting g1 toys of the ponies that inspired the mane 6 in g4 :)) I currently have Twilight and Firefly! Next on the list is Surprise 🎉 Aside from those two, I also have g1 Moondancer and Bowtie 🎀

With that said, g1 is from the 80's, so it does have quite a bit of racist stereotypes throughout it that are important to acknowledge.

can gen 6 of my little pony which will be revealed in 2027 have the main characters be different species instead of ponies? or do you prefer them to be ponies?

I personally would LOVE to see the mane 6 as different species! I enjoy them being ponies, especially as the show itself is my little PONY, and throughout g1, 2, 3, and 4, we see the same ponies being reworked for the new generations. I think that Pinkie Pie would make the cutest hippogriff, and I would love a spin-off AU where Rainbow Dash is a griffin with Gilda. There is a lot of potential with the Maine 6 not being ponies; especially if they’re the same characters. It feels redundant to see the Maine 6 as ponies again if they’re going to be creating something entirely new. My heart will always belong to the OG mane 6, but I’m ready to see where future generations take us as far as expanding those horizons :)
