Hello! I've made this blog as a way to keep track of & share my headcanons, fics, and other fandom/oc related thoughts
This will be a multi-fandom page, and I will likely just be posting based on whatever I'm fixated on at the moment, so fandom changes can be frequent. Though I do tend to go back to old fixations regularly so they might not be gone forever if I move onto something else!
You can call me Marshall, or Victorien/Vic, whichever you like I'm not picky. But my pronouns are He/Him! Marshall is my name, but Vic is one of my OCs and I used his name for my user so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
As the legend goes, a killjoy's mask holds their soul. When a 'joy gets dusted, their masks are meant to be taken to the mailbox, where they will be picked up by the Pheonix Witch & their souls lay to rest.
However, there was that point in time where The Girl had Party's mask. And when she did, it brought her comfort to talk to it. Ask advice, tell it about what was going on around her, share stores, just like she had when Party was still around. Hoping, that in the meantime, before the mask was handed over to the witch, Party was there, listening, and following her. Guiding her however they could, working with the others to keep her safe from beyond.
While she wasn't able to find the others masks. Having at least Party's helped. Though she knows better now that she's older. Party was always the one who seemed put together. Who lead the other 3 into the city to rescue her. The leader of thr Fab 4. Someone who seemed nearly untouchable. The presence of the mask brought her comfort. Though it never would amount to the true comfort being with the crew once gave.
Before the Fab 4 was a full group, Party's original mask was the Mousekat head. Despite how much they loved it, they always complained about how hot the mask would get during a run or firefight.
When Fun Ghoul joined the Fab 4, he quickly got sick and tired of Party's complaining. So he took it upon himself to go on a run to find Party a new mask.
There's a place he's known about since he was a child in the zones. The same place he found his own Frankenstein mask and his name. The Fun Ghoul costume shop.
Though now, after decades of post-war and ecosystem ware. The building could hardly even be considered standing. 3/4 of the walls are gone, and there's not even a sliver of roof left on the wall that still stands. Though, Ghoul, ever resourceful, knows just where to look under the rubble, deep enough that maybe there's something still left.
Ghoul finds 2 masks, one black and one yellow, both with clown triangles on them and big red noses. It tears the red noses off, and decides maybe they'd work well enough for Party to paint into something uniquely their own.
Party actually ends up loving the yellow mask just as it is. They still have Mousekat, and wear it at times for memory sake or when more convenient to have a full face covering. But they revel in the new mask, and take pride in finally getting to have their red hair on display more often.
This idea was built off of Kara from the National Anthem comic. I love looking at similarities between NA as the original story concept, and then what was changed to become California. Hense, I see Kara and Kobra holding very similar roles in their groups. And with Kara being MtF I thought it'd be a nice nod if Kobra was FtM ☆
For the sake of getting more in depth with this, it'll be implied through this hc that National Anthem is actually a prequel to California. An idea I'll expand further upon in future posts.
Kobra and Party going through some old family stuff that was hidden away and finding old things of Mike and Kara's. I like to think it'd be around the time Kobra starts to question his gender, or at least start feeling like something was a bit "different". Him seeing the pictures of Kara and maybe, seeing how she was able to transition, would've helped him come to terms with who he was an' all that sappy stuff.
As mentioned in a previous post, i really headcanon all the 'joys as totally not cis. They're killjoys. Rebels. Risking their lives fighting some giant corporation. Living in a radioactive wasteland of a desert in a small run down diner. I think they deal with too much bs to not be able to have fun and experiment with gender however they want to.
Anyways, trans Kobra for the win. I love him, he's amazing, and very cool.☆♡☆
Starting off strong with gender hc's and color assignments☆☆

And now for the long winded version ☆
Party
Party really strikes me as someone who's on the line between nonbinary & trans fem. I'll post more later, but I have many story ideas of them and Show Pony getting ready for shows in the zones together. They're more interested in feminine things, and being "pretty" which for them then aligned well with using They/She pronouns.☆☆
Kobra
My view of Kobra as a trans man started with me making comparisons between the National Anthem & California comics. Something I'll also expand upon in another post. But tldr, Kara gives similar Kobra Kid vibes and shes MtF. Hense, FtM Kobra :)
Fun Ghoul
Ghoulie really begins my dive into the thought that, this is the zones. Away from BL/IND. Killjoys are built on their culture of being different and deviating from the social norms set by BLI. And with that we get Ghoul. If asked about his gender, he'd just shrug and respond, "I'm just, a Fun Ghoul". As an older teen in the zones, it constantly was getting into squabbles and when experimenting with explosives, destroying things it shouldn't have. And it resonates with being something other-humanly. Of course, there's still a bit of something that he can recognize as human. But, that's not all he is. So, he/it ☆
Jet
Jet our beloved♡ I can't remember when I saw a post using she/her pronouns for Jet, but it fully changed my perspective. I really see Jet as the guardian of the group. Being the one probably most steady and reasonable thinking to keep the Fab 4 together and make sure things go smoothly on runs. She might be maternal, but she's strong. And in my own life, there's no one stronger that I know than the women, mainly my own mother. And I feel that Jet holds that same type of strength.
That being said, when thinking of pronouns for Jet, this is where I really dived into my previous thoughts of the way it is to live in the zones, previously mentioned in Fun Ghoul's section. With Jet, I really go into the idea that, many Killjoys don't even see gender to begin with. Their existence is based on their names and their masks. Any pronoun is secondary to that. And this would cause some insane pronouns to be introduced. Though while I feel Jet grew up around that, they wouldn't resonate too fully with it to the more obscure extent. And hense, xe would likely use a fuildity of pronouns. She/they/xe ♡
