Not really RP related, but a gaming (mostly Minecraft and fortnight) streamer I follow could use some support. The current update is that he is going to be getting a double amputation below the knee at some point soon, even if you can't donate but you can share this that'd be great 💚

Lyta was born Hippolyta Trevor, the only(eldest in the case of interacting with OC siblings) daughter of Diana Prince and Steve Trevor. She grew up in a world where myth and reality overlapped constantly, she never really got the chance to believe the world was normal because it never was.
Because of her parents’ lives, Lyta spent a lot of time around other hero families. Justice League gatherings, charity events, and the occasional crisis meant she met people like Hector Hall very early on. Their parents had all crossed paths through the Justice League. Lyta and Hector grew up in the same orbit, the same strange extended “family” of capes, legacies, and impossible expectations.
Like a lot of legacy kids, Lyta eventually tried to follow in her parents’ footsteps. She trained with her mother when she was young, nothing brutal or forced but enough that she knew how to fight and survive – to know how to harness her Amazonian heritage. As she got older, the pressure of being Wonder Woman’s daughter settled on her shoulders. People expected greatness. They expected strength. They expected her to become something.
So she did.
She put on a costume, took the name Fury, and tried to be the kind of hero people believed she should be. She didn’t know why the name felt right, but in reality it was The Kindly Ones influencing her – hinting at the connection they would one day have to her. She was strong, fast, and frighteningly effective as a hero just like her mother. There was something in her that felt older than the Amazons, older than Olympus itself. Something ancient and angry the ached for justice that stirred when she fought, it made her powerful but it never made her happy – that was the Kindly Ones acclimating her to the power she would one day wield as their vassal against Dream of the Endless.
The hero life wasn’t what the stories promised though. It was constant danger, endless crises, and the quiet terror that one day she’d lose someone she loved because she wasn’t strong enough or fast enough to stop it. Eventually, Lyta stepped away. No grand retirement. No press conference. She just stopped showing up.
No more costume or codename, no more trying to live up to a legacy that didn’t feel like hers – people asked Wonder Woman about it more than once, she always said that she respected her daughter choice. Hector understood better than anyone though, he understood what it was like to have a legacy to live up to that you never asked for. To have parents who were larger than life to most of the civilian population, he had never wanted that either. To him his parents were just that, and he loved them. But he never felt that push to be a hero, even when they were training him to be able to defend himself.
By the time the events of The Sandman begin, Lyta and Hector had already been married – and she had already lost him. Vandel Savage injured him well looking for his parents, and he ended up in a coma and later succumbed to his injuries well asleep. They had built something soft and real together, far from the expectations of their parents’ worlds. It’s not perfect, but it’s theirs. For the first time, Lyta had felt like she had something close to a normal life – and then she lost him.
So when she meets Hector again in the realm of Dreams and he starts talking about a place where they can live peacefully without the world tearing them apart? It sounds like hope. The Dreaming feels gentle, safe, like a second chance at the life they never quite got to have. But the Dreaming isn’t a refuge, and Hector isn’t really alive. When Morpheus ends the false dream and Hector disappears, Lyta loses everything in a single moment. The man she loved. The future she believed in. The only place that felt safe.
Then she wakes learns she’s still pregnant, a child conceived in dreams with the ghost of the man she loved - a child Morpheus made a claim on. In the show, Lyta becomes the instrument of the Furies ancient embodiment of vengeance, older than gods and kings who used her grief and rage to turn her against Dream. In reality, that connection runs even deeper - because once, long ago, Lyta bore the name Fury.
She carried that ancient anger in her blood, she felt it in her bones every time she fought. She tried to be something fierce and unstoppable, and she tried to turn away from it – until the moment her son was taken from her. So when the Furies come for her, they’re not choosing a random mortal woman. They’re choosing someone who already wore their name once.

There is something wonderful stirring in the depths of your being. something within you– something latent– is sleeping there, in the cradle of your mind. Creativity comes naturally to you, just as breathing or blinking. You have the capability to extend yourself through art. But are you afraid of it? Creating something– terribly afraid that it will never be as good as you hope? It will never be made unless you use your own hands.
