it's not quite the same, but years ago, something like this did happen

Eddsworld was a series animated by Edd Gould, featuring him and his friends going on wacky adventures. the characters had the same name, and was voice acted by the same people

much like the dsmp, they were characterised versions of themselves. the series is a comedy, so it wasn't particularly dramatic, but the comparison does fit

and Edd Gould, much like Technoblade, passed away due to cancer

i wasn't around, when this happened. i can't much speak for how it all went down, back then

but the fandom did recover

Eddsworld went on, in memory of Edd. it's still alive, to this day, with Edd as one of the leads. and while that'll never happen for Technoblade, due to the medium different, i do think we can look at the Eddsworld fandom, and know one thing

it'll be okay

the fandom isn't going to die, though it's likely going to lessen in size. fics are going to crop up again, when the hurt isn't as fresh, and even years down the line, people will remember him with the same love, the same heartache, as everyone is feeling now

there's things that's going to be avoided. that'll hit too close to home

but it will be okay. so if this fandom is important to you, please know it's not going away

Technoblade inspired so many people, is loved by so many people, and that's going to live on

Yall ever get bored but in a going to search for edible shit but not just edible, it also has to be very tasty and it cannot be a meal because that would be too boring and if you don't find anything you simply lay on your bed trying to unboredom and then repeat the whole thing again every few minutes

And basically you just want something to chew

And when its an actual meal you get bored halfway through and have to physically force yourself to eat it like an hour later

I've been introduced to mcyt and dsmp by my best friend and thanks to her I could discover Techno. For the past 2 years he had impacted my life a lot, through inspiring me to improve my skills on character design and art overall, to become more outgoing and full of passion for things I do. Because of covid and me finishing high school and going to university I had been struggling a lot with my mental health, but every time I saw a new upload or upcoming stream my day would instantly brighten up. He brought so much joy and love to the community and I'll forever be thankful for that.

This whole day had been a mess since I woke up and saw the news, it still feels unreal and when I think I'm alright, the feeling comes back again. Never thought that a person I didn't know, almost at all, would make such an impact on me.

I'm still going to make art of his character, I think that's something he'd want, to continue his legacy and for his character to still bring people joy.

I don't normally write much stuff here, only post art and reblog stuff, but I had to vent a little. I just wanted to thank Techno for everything and send love to anyone who is struggling about this too or is in a bad place overall. I hope you'll get better and everything will be ok❤️

I just want to say that technos chat really changes moods pretty quickly lmao I mean they really were out to get techno at the beginning and then as soon as he s in trouble they start protecting him and its the funniest thing- like their mindset is "only we can kill our streamer" and i can't decide if its wholesome or not, either way its hilarious

hc where everywhere ghostbur touches gets stained blue, but you can only see it when dead or after being revived

so after tommy’s revived, he can see ghostbur’s handprints. they’re on the animals and pets of the server, the lmanberg ruins, and even traces along philza’s walls. all loving touches and handprints from ghostbur’s care.

but more than anything else, there’s blue on tommy. on his hands, where ghostbur held them in his own. on his back, where ghostbur rubbed circles encouragingly. on his face, where ghostbur once wiped the tears from his face. on his arms and fingers and shoulders and nose and hair and face.

and for the first time in a long while, tommy is able to see the evidence of being loved

not to turn a blooper into a headcanon but puffy turned schlatt's bones into bonemeal right? what if bonemeal grows flowers representative of the person it was made from. schlatt's bones end up growing burgundy colored flowers that smell vaguely of smoke and wine. they wilt quickly and their stems are full of thorns. quackity picks a couple of them every once in a while to put in his casino with the wither roses. sometimes he peels the petals off one by one

i think wilbur's flowers were originally a pale yellow, transitioning to red in the center. they smell like a summer's day and when the wind blows you can hear the faintest tune playing. but once picked they quickly crumble and turn to ash. tommy learns this the hard way when he takes a couple to plant around his house. even in death he cannot have his brother whole

tommy's flowers need sunlight. heaping tons of it on every petal, every leaf, every crevice of the tiny plant that seems to have crawled into tubbo's heart. sunlight that snowchester does not have. the snow does it no favors either, and the second batch tubbo brings to the commune dies even quicker than the first. maybe they just aren't meant to last. even the ones beside ranboo's alliums haven't bloomed yet, though buds seem to spring up out of thin air

so they wait. for hours they water it and pull weeds out by their roots, and watch. because what else are you meant to do when your best friend was just murdered unfairly in cold blood by the person who had promised to keep him safe? puffy said hobbies were healthy. so they wait

when tommy's flowers finally bloom, a day and a half after sam had carried his body out from the prison, they do so with such warmth and vibrance that it's almost as if he never left at all. they crawl like ivy on every wall and reach for every bit of space they can get their hands on. the color is almost dizzying. and for the first time in a long time, his house feels lived in again
