I decided the first game I wanted to buy for my newly modded GBA was the Famicom Mini Super Mario Bros, because it's cute and I love Mario

I am absolutely the kind of sucker that loved the various NES games for the GBA back in the day; the packaging was amazing and it was the easiest way to play a lot of these at the time since my NES was at my grandpa's house

My old friend Vince from a very good Detroit band called Cheapshow just modded me this crispy original Game Boy Advance with one of the nicest backlit screens I’ve ever seen Now I just need my flash cart to show up so I can go back to playing Mega Man Battle Network and Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga

Happy Mar10 Day, everyone! A long time ago on our first EP, we wrote a song about wishing Mario could come to the real world to help you get your life together called “I’ll Kill That Plumber”. This day last year, an old boss of mine from EB Games (because I’m old enough that it wasn’t GameStop when I started working there) gave me several boxes of older accessories, consoles, and games as thanks for helping him with something. I admit I still haven’t played half the stuff in here, but it was pretty neat to both see him again (it would be the last time I’d be at someone else’s house for a while, it turns out) and I’m always happy to welcome more old Sega paraphernalia into my home.

Look everyone! We went back to the studio yesterday! Our favorite producer Tom has a new Cow Haus facility that we went to work in for the first time, and it went great. I even played keyboard and everything! But why would I be playing keyboard...?

We missed the one-year anniversary, but we were just reminded that our last show was a little over a year ago, at the Hamtramck Music Festival. It was our first time playing HMF, which was always a big goal for us, and the lineup and venue couldn’t have been more perfect for it. No Vision came out with an EP that night, and our friends Extra Arms and St. Thomas Boys Academy were on the bill which was all super humbling. Am I sad shows aren’t back yet? Yeah, usually. But a very wise robot we know recently told me that we’re closer to the end of this than the beginning, and I know that things will be cool again sooner than we might expect.  Be excellent to each other.

I’m really excited to get my first Game Boy Advance in forever my friend Vince in the band Cheapshow is modding me an old Arctic Blue GBA with a backlight (since I like those better than the SP) and I forgot how many games I liked on there also this image is good advice forever

I bought this amp like three years ago now. It was my first tube amp I'd owned since like 2009, and I think I just bought it because of FOMO because so many of our friends had this exact amp, and I found it for kinda cheap.

It's kinda cool that Jeff Rosenstock uses a similar model, but I don't know if I was consciously aware of it at the time, or if I just needed that sweet sweet DIY cred

Anyway I went to plug this thing in to make sure everything was cool before the next time we record, and when I turned the TV on behind me, it was an endless loop of Axl Rose yelling "GIMME SOME REGGAE"

I feel like that's a pretty good sign
