"Being an Empath and a borderline can be so difficult at times. I just feel so much."
Hello everyone,
My name is Sarah Price and I am from a small town in upstate NY. I live about fifteen minitues from the Canadian border. When I was seventeen years old I fell in love with a beautiful and intelligent and kind hearted woman named Amanda Froats. Amanda and I have been together for almost nine years now. September 13, 2006 is the day that changed our lives forever. This is the day we met. I was going through a rough patch at the time since I suffer from debilitating anxiety and depression and have had multiple surgeries for being born with a deformed kidney that often gets backed up or blocked… When I met Amanda I had a reason to live again, she is my light at the end of the tunnel. What I didnt realize however at such a young age is that love isn’t as easy as it seems. Especially for a same sex couple such as ourselves. Amanda is Canadian and was told many times she could not become a citizen of this country because she only wanted to be here to be with me. This is true, she does want to be with me. We like any other couple would love to move on with this part of our life into something new. No more back and forth, we could have a home and a family like we have always dreamed. The supreme court just ruled that Gay marriage is now legal in all fifty states which means I can now sponser Amanda after we get married. Today we went and got our marriage license and we will be having the ceremony this week. However once again it is not as easy as 1 2 3. Now we need to come up with 1,500 dollars to cover the cost of the paperwork for her adjustment status so she can be a citizen and we can be together as one and start the life we have always wanted. I dont know if this means anyone will help but I had to atleast try. I am legally disabled and live off of a small amount of money that I use up before its even covered all of my bills. I have put in every bit of cash I have and all of my heart, but without your help it just isnt enough. I know that this isn’t technically life or death and that there are people who will disapprove with us for who we are and how we live but im asking…. does anyone believe in love and making someones dreams come true. If so please help us.
