Hi guys! I made this account a bit ago and kept forgetting to make his intro! This is Batman!Duke Thomas, and i've been kind of thinking about him for a while.
From my main account (@theguybehindthechair ), I said the following:
Duke would've done similar to what Dick did with Robin Inc., but he'd also have found a way to heal Gotham like Damian did. Duke grew up on those streets, far more than both of those two, and he'd have the right ideas to fix the issues he knows exist. I think he'd heal Gotham from the ground up, with the people first. Like teaching them to be better, to not have that fear and stand up for themselves. villainy doesn't work without an audience
He'd also have people targeting the system at its roots, dismantling the pitfalls that he grew up avoiding. Idk... I just think Duke would be a great Batman, mainly because he's such a good example of Gotham at its core. He's as much Gotham as Bruce is.
He carries on the soul of Gotham after Bruce dies, and personally I think Duke and Cass are the only two people I'd ever truly see improving Batman or being improved by being Batman. The two of them know how Batman works and how Gotham needs him.

Duke's about early-mid 20s, probably like 24-25. He's also bi and transmasc bc why not
His Bruce is dead, probably from some accident on patrol or with the JL. The others are around, but I'm thinking Bruce specifically put in his will that only Duke or Cass could take the cowl, and Cass wanted to stay as Batgirl for a few more years.
