       “ One cookie dough, chocolate and strawberry, one tripple vanilla it is -- ” He offers a smile as he gets to work, wasting no time in scooping ice cream into the two cones. He pauses at the question, taking one step to the side and leaning an elbow against the counter to let the other know he had his attention. He looks at him with a mocked, shocked look of eyebrows raised.  “ -- Well if that’s what they’re doin’, they’re doin’ a pretty shitty job of it with only having two kids here pretty much all day. ”

        He offers another smile before going back to finishing the ice creams, holding them out and reciting the price once they’re done. “ I wish it was though, that’d make things MUCH more interesting around here. ”

❝Need a HAND?❞ Jax had been watching from the sidelines more than actually PLAYING, but once he saw the other NEW GUY knock Steve over, he had seen an OPENING. Having been briefed on everyone in ELEVEN’S life and surrounding, Steve had stuck out to him the most - along side Nancy. If he could just get close to either one of THEM, Jax would be able to get to her. But first things first … he needed to INTRODUCE himself. So holding out a hand, Jax attempted a rather charming smile. ❝He’s an IDIOT, just ignore him.❞

     PRIDE was overrated. He’d learned THAT much over the past year or so. And THAT kid had a problem that he wasn’t dying to get involved in. The new voice prompts him to raise an eyebrow as he looks up, shoving that train of thought aside. Offering a (somewhat awkward) smile back, he accepts the offer.  “ Thanks -- ”  

     He shrugs, hands settling on hips with a nod.  “ Yeah -- not like he’s doin’ any real HARM. ” Eyes study the other’s face for a second, TRYING to figure out if he’d seen him around or not before. With his track record, it wouldn’t be a SURPRISE if he’d just never paid attention to him before.  “ Are you new here, or -- ? ”

      “ Best? Depends on what you like. ”  He offers a smile, forearms leaning on top of the glass case. “ -- Personally, I’d recommend strawberry cream or chocolate. ”

“Call me what you want.” He’s been called worse, after all - nothing Steve says really gets to him. It’s more annoying than anything, it’s only when he keeps annoying him does it bother him.

Today? Today he can’t be bothered to care either way.
