Senyuu is up on MangaDex!

Hello, it’s been a while! First of all, my most sincere apologies for the lack of update on... anything, to be honest. A personal apology to people who’ve sent messages, and also thanks for pointing towards MangaDex. Since this post is to answer some of those messages, I don’t think I need to reply to most of them individually anymore, but they definitely got through. Thank you! Of course, if you have anything else you’d like to ask me about, feel free, and there are a few more specific messages I will follow up on privately too.

Today I finally went to check out MangaDex and actually do my job of uploading Senyuu on it, but to my surprise, some kind person has already done it! Shout out to LittleDaoist, whoever you are, thank you so much. They also kindly credited BattleBrave already, so I’m waiting to get confirmation to take over the group. Announcement about Senyuu on Batoto

I got this message on my main blog but I figured I’d better put it here because I was going to address the issue soon enough.

As some of you may have heard, Batoto, the site where Senyuu and many other manga are uploaded, is being shut down. Battlebrave has always uploaded the Senyuu manga to Batoto and nowhere else (if you see Senyuu on other sites, a bot probably scraped them there - nothing to be done though lol), so naturally this is a bit of a problem (understatement). Other manga sites almost certainly depend on the manga being uploaded to Batoto first before some automated process reuploads Senyuu to their own site, so without Batoto, I don’t think there would be further updates anywhere else either.

I’m currently in the process of organizing the huge batch of original files as well as taking into account any chapters that even I don’t have (which I’ll have to download off Batoto once I get around to), so as for the Senyuu manga itself, please don’t worry about it being lost forever (and like I said, Senyuu’s been reuploaded to countless other random manga aggregation sites anyway).

However, I don’t currently have any ideas about other manga hosting sites that I can continue uploading Senyuu translations once I get around to it, so I’m super open to suggestions, preferably reputable hosting sites that scanlators personally upload to and aren’t just collected en masse on aggregation sites. If I don’t find one, I might very well just upload new chapters on imgur and link them through here. I’m also open to hearing about any other alternatives that people might prefer!

Hi everyone, it’s been a really long time... There’s not really an excuse-

I mean, there kind of is, mostly in that I found a new fandom hell around this time last year and I’ve spent my time and energy for it instead, aha. But it’s no excuse for Senyuu, I mean. I’m the only one doing it after all, and I’d actually be very grateful for someone to help with the editing part because it’s super tedious for me, so send an ask or something if you’re interested. Thanks to those who asked about it! I’ve got someone now \o/

(Side ad, my new fandom hell is Fukigen na Mononokean/The Morose Mononokean, a manga about two high school boys who exorcise yokai. Come join me, the fandom’s smaller than Senyuu if you can believe it +_+. I’m mostly over here @tomodachimeter.)

Anyway, I will still! Be doing my best to catch up! There’s only three chapters still to be done (although that’s six weeks’ worth in real time...) but I will... try...
