Well, before he arrived to NC he was in a nomad clan, having run away from home and joining them
While he does seem like the type to settle down, he hadn't met anyone during his work- his life is basically on autopilot, any potential friendships are shot down in fear of his walls being broken
He would have a buffer period somewhere in the 2050s where he'd revisit his nomad roots though it would obviously not stick
He's practically running away from his life as a coping mechanism
He has no family, and no friends (him and Kerry wouldn't talk much and then completely stop talking/messaging in the 2040s)

After Johnny's death he'd be in a rough shape, he'd stay with Kerry for a while- helping him with his music career. Though due to struggling with money and him and Kerry slowly drifting apart, he'd get a job at a corpo thanks to his knowledge of tech. It would start as an internship level, hating himself for "selling out" to the corpos and completely ignoring his own beliefs. During this time he'd cut his hair, wanting to look more professional but also struggling with looking at himself in the mirror and remembering how happy he was with Johnny
As the years go on he'd get higher level jobs, and more chrome- he goes on autopilot, drowning himself in work. If it wasn't for the job, he wouldn't have lived. Him and Kerry rarely talk at this point, Batty worrying that Kerry would hate him for working at a corp now.
Eventually Batty would occasionally contact Kerry, but both are still in an awkward patch. They've both changed, Johnny's death having a hard effect on them.
Batty would try to repair the friendship, though it would cause him to go off of autopilot- worsening addiction and causing him to stop contacting Kerry afterwards.
With the quest where Samurai has one last gig, Batty would be contacted. V would be given the contact information (Corpo V would already have this, though Batty would not seem important, more so just contacting about job stuff). He'd be referred to as Batty, though Johnny would explain the nickname and give in some information about him.
Batty would be in a rough patch, though when meeting V he'd notice some of Johnny's mannerisms in him- immediately clinging himself onto him due to the reminders of his old friend. After the Samurai concert, Batty would remember his love for art, he'd thank V and reconnect with Kerry again- however it would still be rough and messy.
Romance option:
I personally don't think he'd be a romance option- although I can always add my own thoughts about it. He'd be available for male and female V, being a bit of a clingy bastard. V would receive flowers (similar to how you can send Kerry flowers) and almost constant texts (he still has his job, just is part time rather than full time).
With male V, if male V is dating Kerry, he'd still be an option- making a polycule. It would be messy, but a healing experience. Occasionally when visiting Kerry's Villa, Batty would be there as well.
Batty would talk about his walkthrough of going part time and finding jobs with his art- tattoo designs would be sent to V over text occasionally.
ENDINGS:
The Tower: he'd have been fully reconnected with Kerry- although still messy, they're both messy- and would go on tour with him as the main stagehand/stage manager
Temperance: He'd stay in contact with V (Now Johnny), offering whatever help he needed. He'd be clingy, part of his mind reverting back to who he was before Johnny's death. Batty would completely bury the guilt of forgetting about V, though it would always come back to haunt him
