it is baffling to me that a considerable amount of people blame sasha for being secretive about his trauma and paint it like he was a bad friend for never opening up. i can excuse dealing heroin and hate criming other gays but i draw the line at having an unhealthy coping mechanism as a traumatized child

obviously the levels of emotional repression he was on were insane and like. he was very much fucking his own life up it wouldve absolutely done good for him had he opened up. but its not like his friends are entitled to every detail of his personal life. that aside literally everyone in his life reacted to their own struggles with emotional repression (abusive dad, suicidal mom, even his old situationship coped with being gay by being violently homophobic) like this is kind of all hes ever known of course hes going to respond this way

like how the fuck was it a betrayal of any kind it was literally the most expected outcome and its absolutely not what makes him so morally grey. its not that he didnt trust antosha bro he came out to this boy after like 4 months of knowing him even with the understanding that tosha was passively homophobic. obviously he trusted him bro this was not a sign of mistrust????
