SLOmarathon ambassador interview!
Meeting all the great ambassadors at the SLOmarathon!
Also notable is Eliud Kipchoge who ran a 2:04:05 to get second place in his second marathon ever!
Distance Club, Senior Year, and Running!
I have not been as active on here in the past week because I have been crazy busy with all that is listed above. First week of school means first week of distance club and a whole lot of running.
I have been steadily increasing my milage over the past 6 weeks trying to get back into running after being gone for about 2 years. This past week I made the jump from 25 miles to 30 miles which as been a painfully necessary push.
To get there, I put in a couple nice 7 milers that felt great but had repercussions in the form of COMS which is like DOMS but more realistic for me (Continually Ongoing Muscle soreness). Ya, it is that pain that lasts for 3 or 4 days. It was probably spurred on by my addition of weighted lunges this week too. In all, this devastatingly exhilarating week has kept me excited about running been a great step in my return.
Now I get to pull back a bit to taper for my 5k race on Sunday. My legs are happy :)
Back to school 6 mile.
I just got back to school and I was excited to complete my first long run back. I did not expect that run to include a cat 4 climb and total 531 feet of gain... but overall I'm feeling pretty accomplished.
Nike+ VS. Mapmyrun?
I have been using mapmyrun for about two weeks now but with all of the different gps running apps for smartphones I want to know which you prefer. I'm thinking about switching my running app so your thoughts would be great! mapmyrun, nike+, runkeeper, ect let me know!

The Come Back.
I am now a week into my comeback and completed a 7 mile day with almost 800 feet of gain today. I'm going to feel it big tomorrow but I'm feeling pretty accomplished.
Sand + Hill = One of the best hill workouts I have ever had.
Nobody is going to do this for you, and in reality you will probably have at least one person who tries to sabotage you… But just remember how much you want it for YOU!!
It is a virtual race! It supports a family trying to adopt a group of siblings and needs some help. If you want you could use this as an opportunity to race someone on tumblr! Choose a distance, trail or street, choose elevation gain and race! It is not a perfect race but great for those on tumblr you have wanted to race but are too far away from!
p.s. You also get a shirt!

Pursue Consistency.
I would add that it has thrown me into friends I would otherwise have missed as well.
