What is not to love about this time of the year? I mean maybe the cold but I’ll let it slide because the cold is what sets the mood right for it, with the amount of hot chocolate we can have. The party yesterday was amazing and now the following days are just amazing, we have Caroling day, we have actual Christmas day - that I am spending with Ma back in Nashville - and right after we have our birthdays parties and we go on a trip… I am just saying all that because I want to make it look like I am terrible busy so you all are gonna forgive me when you see how bad wrapped your gifts are? Somehow I planned special wrappings and spent the whole night after the party doing it and now the Sun is up and they look… shitty. Sorry? I am hoping what is inside counts more, though. Anyways… What are you all gonna do on actual Christmas Eve?

It wouldn’t feel quite like Christmas if there wasn’t a bit of a chill, though I can think of a few other things not to like...I try not to focus on those however because there is much to love about this time of year like you said! You know, I always find the poorly wrapped gifts often have the best things aside - not that I’m expecting one of your terribly wrapped gifts myself but it’s what’s inside that counts, yeah? My mum and dad arrive tomorrow, so I imagine Christmas Eve will be a lot like it was growing up - only this time it won’t be just my dad enjoying some rum and eggnog. What about you, any traditions for you and your mom?

Moving so close to the Christmas is an absolute nightmare. I forgot what it was like to live in a flat. There’s not much to decorate, but that’s okay, not really feeling the Christmas vibe this year. Call me The Grinch, Scrooge, what have you, just not for me this year. How are spending your holiday though? 

And I thought moving so close to Halloween was bad, that just sounds horrendous! My mum and dad have decided they need to check up on me, make sure I haven’t gone off the deep end or what have you, so they’ll be here tomorrow. What about you, mate, how do you plan to spend the holidays?

Before you ask, yes I was in hiding. Why? I’ve been hiding from the inevitable moment when my kids ask me to try their homemade Christmas cookies that I know their father helped baked. To save myself from, God, I don’t know what.. I skipped out of town, started a secret life as a – what’ll make me sound super cool? A spy. I’ve been working with the government, on the down low, but I recently got laid off because I can’t keep a secret. Who would’ve thought? Of all things? I’m the best at keeping secrets. Mother of the year, I know. But hey, now back and I’ve managed to tell the girls that they should definitely save those delicious cookies for Santa. Just in time to see a few carolers out, too! My timing is fantastic. It’s good to be home in time for the holidays. 

Shameful that you can’t even fake like a few cookies for the sake of your daughters - oh well, more presents for me when Santa adds you to the naughty list! I’m just kidding with you. Although, I’d have to wonder how bad the cookies must be for you to go to so much effort to avoid them! At least you’re back in time to sneak downstairs and watch Santa feed them to his reindeer!

Okay, have you ever wondered if you really gotten everything for Christmas? But, for some reason you have managed to forget one wee little thing. Yup, guess who did that? This girl did. I’m usually an early shopper for my teenager, and I simply forgot to get another thing! And of course the one thing that I need to get for her won’t be here until after Christmas day. This is what I get for forgetting things late. Anyway, hope everyone’s shopping is going well!

I enjoy Christmas, but I have to admit, my least favorite part is the shopping. I do as much as I possibly can online just I can avoid any sort of shopping center or department store but I should be more like you and get it done early. Unfortunately, I tend to procrastinate and now there are less than two weeks to go and I am only about half done so you can bet I will forget something as well. Probably more than one. All I can do is hope it’s nothing that gets me in too much trouble.

He always was the peace keeper, wasn’t he? Everyone thought that was just a show as Elijah, but then it turns out that Daniel was good at keeping us in our place, too… when he wasn’t instigating things like the troublemaker he actually is. Phew, okay, good. Because it’s not that I don’t adore you, I just wasn’t really ready to take on the cost of your therapy to make sure that you stopped having those dreams. This is true, I don’t go out with the sole reasoning of getting drunk as often as I used to, and my wallet is probably beyond grateful for it, and I know that my head and stomach are happier without feeling like they’re going to explode all the time. But New Year’s… you can bet we’ll have some serious fun. And then we’ll go from young and hip to old the next day, right?

A peacekeeper and yet somehow, the biggest brat of the whole lot of us, yeah!? Between you and I though, I miss his shenanigans - don’t tell him I said that though, I will flat out deny it. So far you’re safe but if they come back, I’m booking myself in with Dr.Phil and sending you the bill! I’ve turned into that old man that just wants to sip his scotch and smoke a cigar before my nine o’clock bedtime. Essentially, I am my father. The way I see it, New Years day will be an absolute write-off, I’ve already got a stock pile of hangover remedies at the ready. Speaking of the holidays though, are you all set for Christmas? You going to be around Bayview?

Nina had, had her time in Bayview and it was as great as any, moving to a new town was probably one of the best things that happened to her. She loved the town and everything it gave her, reuniting with her friends was great. Today she chose to go to the supermarket to get some supplies for a chocolate, cookie-crust pizza she talked about with Zach, she had gotten the recipe from some place online and now she was ready to actually make it, she just needed to do get the ingredients for it. She grabbed the Nutella from the aisle, unreasonably checking the sugar total-maybe that was her fitness persona taking over? She walked out of the aisle checking at the front of it to see a packet of mini marshmallows, as she was about to reach for the packet when she heard a familiar voice. She looked up and smirked at the being before her, knowing exactly who he was. She knew Joseph had been in the town for quite while and she had been meaning to catch up with him but she was surprisingly glad to see him here. “Well well well” she mocked as she rested one of her hands on her hips “I don’t believe so, but that’s up for you to decide.”

Following his divorce and the final wrap of The Originals, Joseph had found himself feeling a little restless and needing to change things up a little. Claire and the other had always spoken highly of Bayview, so it seemed the ideal place to set out on a new beginning - which was strangely filled with quite a few familiar faces. Not that he was complaining. It gave the town an immediate sense of home and allowed him to settle in and get comfortable more quickly than he’d expected. His grin widened at her greeting and he couldn’t help but laugh, leaning in to give her cheek a quick peck and a one-arm hug as he balanced the basket of food in his other. “I like to think you have!” he joked back. “You look fantastic, life has been treating you well then?” he asked.

Gore doesn’t bother me so much, but the suspense and the build up and nervousness, I will never like that feeling at all. It’s what you read most? I don’t mind reading it so much, and I’ll have to hit you up for recommendations there. And honestly, serial killers and true crime are more my jam. I could watch documentaries and films about them all day long. Thank you! I’m all for plain. Spicy has to be something I’m in the mood for, and if I’m just wanting a snack, I probably won’t opt for that. We’ll definitely have to see! With the weather getting as frosty as it is, snow might be here before we know it. You sure? That might be the result of you wishing for snow, Mojo! Well, I’m a Brit and don’t look terrible on the dance floor! I bet you’re not giving yourself enough credit. Besides, it’s not even about how you look so much as how much fun you’re having. As long as you’re out there having a good time, you’re doing it right.

No? That’s my favorite part of it all, I think. I suppose we all have different ways of finding that rush though, being scared by make-believe things just happens to be mine! Oh dear, my list of recommendations is endless but if you search the hashtag #bookrevolution on Twitter, you will find an abundance that I’ve made, along with some fellow readers as well. Not all horror mind you. I do enjoy true crime as well, I think I’ve watched just about all Netflix has on the genre though so I may need to expand my horizons some. Do you have a favorite? No, no, no, if anything, I’m downplaying how horrendous I really am! But if the opportunity should present itself, I’m going to make sure I stick by you on the dancefloor - don’t say I didn’t give you ample warning though, mate!

I’m sorry! But everyone wants a sexy brooding vampire as opposed to like a dorky one right? And you can pull off the sexy brood. So I’d say yes, you can pull it off. Thank you, I appreciate it! And you know, just so there’s like… no confusion or whatever, there’s not a guy in my life. I wouldn’t be flirting so openly with you if there was. Not that I’m looking for a baby daddy or anything! Oh gosh I’m just going to shut my mouth now. Well I try not to be but who knows, it’s so far away. Right? Like there should have been way more badass women super heroes but I’m so glad there’s so many now. They’re all amazing. Yeah probably shouldn’t be taking knees to the stomach during a match but it might be kind of funny to see a pregnant woman belly bump someone. I’m due in February.

I’d like to think you’re right, but I might have a bit of a personal bias that disqualifies me from voting! You’re fine love! Nothing wrong with flirting, whatsoever, I certainly don’t mind it! It’s a bit of a ways off but, so long as old age doesn’t start to take away the memory, I think I’ll be alright to remember! It’s come a long way, not that there isn’t still plenty of work to do, but it’s nice to see so many getting the attention they’ve rightfully deserved all along. Maybe one of the other ladies will end up pregnant before too long a well and the two of you can have a mommy match of some sort! That’s not too far off is it, gives you a nice excuse to really overindulge with the treats over the holidays though, which is nice.

I can offer you absolutely nothing in exchange for your help other than a flight on the dragons that I have in my garden - I’m kidding I don’t have dragons but I have pictures of them if it’s any consolation? That being said if you wanted to take me on a tour of the town I won’t say no and I can buy you a coffee or two?

I’m pretty disappointed about the lack of dragons but I recently moved and as someone who needed a fair amount of rescuing myself, it’s only fair that I return the favor. Dragons or no. Which part of the town of you decided to settle down in?

“Finally” he muttered to himself while slipping the car into park. He’d managed to find his way around most of Bayview by this point, but Green Acres was an entirely different matter. And given the eight o’clock reservation he’d made at Clam Shells, it meant trying to find Natalie’s place in the dark, which only doubled the challenge and left him running a few minutes behind. He hurried out of the vehicle and made his way to her door, rapping on it a few times with his knuckles before running the same hand through his hair. He’d been a fan of Natalie long before he’d found his way to town, but having spent some time chatting her up, he liked her even more - she was confident, sassy and did a great job of keeping his ego in check - so he’d be lying if he’d claimed to not be excited to spend an evening getting to know her better. Still, he played it cool, nonchalantly hanging back until she finally appeared before him in the doorway. At which point, he could no longer contain the smile. “Good evening, your highness.” he greeted teasingly. @dormernatali

Meet me, Lindsey Morgan the woman with great and out of this world words. I should take that as a compliment shouldn’t I? Well even in a small town there is always going to be some juicy action trust me on that one. I love the thrill we can all get from horror movies, that instinct where we know it’ll freak us out but it ends up happening anyway. Oh come on, don’t listen to her vampires are always amazingly sexy just look at the Salvatore brothers, constantly into everything and making everyone’s heart’s swoon. It’s not always a bad thing getting a high off of a card game, though just don’t get sucked into the life of a gambler. You can always have a good time with alcohol that’s for sure, you just get the alcohol-fun blanket. 

You absolutely should, yes, I meant it entirely as one! Oh, what’s the current juicy action then? I feel like I haven’t quite gotten into the seedy underbelly of Bayview just yet, so I welcome the introduction! I think that’s much of the draw to horror movies for me - some others might get their adrenaline rush through extreme sports or race car driving, but I prefer a good scare to get the ol’ heart pumping, yeah?! Well, call me biased, but I don’t think the Salvatores had anything on the Mikaelsons. No, no, I have stringent limits with myself, although - at the risk of bragging - I don’t lose very often, so I seldom am at risk for exceeding those limits. Are you all set for Christmas?

I know, doesn’t take much thought I suppose but, you know: straight to the point! Oh, shame the vampire idea didn’t get the green light, a Michael Myers costume giving a good first impression is something you’ll only find in Bayview, isn’t it? Haha! Friendly neighbourhood murderer and all that. No problem man, I’d recommend the beach too if you’re happy wrapping up in your thermals this time of year. Glad to hear you’re getting on well. Yeah, it’s just passed 2 years since I moved in here, which is nuts to say!

I don’t mind the thermals at all, I’m heading out for a dinner at Clam Shells and may very well make my way down there later, if all goes well. It seems like there are quite a few people who have been around these parts for quite some time, which I think bodes very well my future here. You all set for Christmas, mate, or are you more like me and have barely gotten started. I woke up this morning and realized we barely have two weeks left and got into a bit of a panic.

I think that if I can avoid it, that is what I’m going to do. I generally just want to be in a happy environment.  I can’t see see why people wouldn’t want that.  I think we aren’t meant to understand what makes everyone else tick. I think that there is a thing such as putting up a tree too early. I am looking forward to starting to decorate after Thanksgiving though.  I am sure that it will end up being a beautiful thing.   once it happens. I appreciate the fact you think so. I tend to sleep pretty good when I’m not busy. I feel like that is everyone’s way of existing. Pretty much, people miss on holidays then they miss the cake. That’s the way life goes.

I’m not sure why the would either, it seems a rather tiresome way to spend one’s time but to each their own, I suppose. Have you got your tree up now though? I’ve dug out the decorations, but haven’t managed to find the perfect tree just yet - I’m holding out for that one tree that really screams ‘pick me’. Oh, I don’t know, my mother isn’t happy unless she knows everyone has gotten a piece of cake and she’ll fret all night if she thinks Sally down the block might have missed out. But she’s a bit mad in that way, it’s part of her charm.

For starters Milo really seems to believe the ornaments are his chewing toys and Belle apparently can’t wrap her head around the twinkling lights. I’m suspicious that my husband trained them for this but I’m giving him the benefit of the doubt. Do you have your tree fully decorated yet or are you struggling like little ol’ me here?”

I have to admit, I haven’t even gone down to pick a tree yet, I should probably get on that right away or there’ll be none left, yeah?! I have dug out the box of decorations and such so I don’t feel like I’m that far behind yet, there’s just so much to do this time of year, I never know where to start. 2018 DECEMBER CHALLENGE TASK #2: Winter Aesthetic

TASK #1

Has your celebrity ever put a part of their life on hold? If so, what was it and why? Not really, but perhaps a little bit - he’s always wanted to produce his own films and now that The Originals is over, he has an opportunity to focus more of his attention on that. He enjoyed it too much to think of it as putting things on hold though. 

How has your celebrity’s upbringing and childhood shaped who they are as a person in the present? In just about every way he can imagine. Both his mother and father were huge influences on shaping who he has become, though perhaps mostly his mother. Hence his involvement in Positive Women. Both taught him about compassion and using your voice, and privilege, for good and they are lessons he continues to carry with him today.

What is your celebrity’s biggest “what if”? Is there something that they would choose to do over? His recent divorce, maybe. Although he wouldn’t really change that they were married, just that he wasn’t able to save it before it was too late.

What does your celebrity consider to be the most ‘life defining moment’ that they’ve experienced so far? Getting the role of Klaus obviously changed his life, he was a relative unknown up until that point and very quickly become a recognizable face.

What’s something that your celebrity has done that is completely out of character for them? I don’t think he would say anything has been out of character. He prides himself on taking risks and trying new things, so there is little left outside the realm of possibility. 

Whether it be a friend they lost touch with, co-star they no longer see, someone they lost, family back home… who does your celebrity miss? His mum and dad and brother, he’s hoping now that his schedule is a little looser though that he’ll be able to spend more time with them.

Has your celebrity ever experienced something such as a health scare, accident, or major shake-up? The previously mentioned divorce is probably the biggest thing to happen to him in recent memory, though there has been plenty of smaller shake-ups along the way.

When your celebrity was younger, did they have an imaginary friend, or were they creative as a child? He was absolutely creative, but he lived it out through characters and stories he would create and perform for his family. 

Growing up, what did your celebrity always wish to do with their life? Is it something they would still want to do today? For as long as he can remember, Joseph has wanted to be involved in film in some way, although his desire to create is just as strong as his desire to act and hopes/plans to focus more of his time in that area in the near future. 

What age does your celebrity wish they could permanently be and why? Mid-twenties, if he had his say. You’re a full-fledged adult who has the freedom to make your own decisions and direct the course of your life, but still young enough to get away with making plenty of mistakes.

Unfortunately I can’t help but agree with you there which is a shame seeing as spending time with family is supposed to be a good time. Honestly I just find the whole thing too crazy and filled with way too much stress to deal with. You have any plans for Christmas this year?

That’s a good point, perhaps the shopping just sets them in the right mood and they figure why not get a jumpstart? I’m grasping at straws trying to find a way to explain this, but I think it might defy one. It’s true, people forget that Christmas isn’t all jungle bells and snow angels for everyone - it can be stressful and even depressing. Looks like my folks are going to head across the pond to celebrate, you?
