“Maybe I’m getting tired – I can’t think of anything but nights with you. I want them warm and silvery.”
— Zelda Fitzgerald
manifesting isn’t just about setting your intentions, it’s also about taking action towards those intentions as well. the universe won’t place these things in front of you without you taking at least a few steps closer to it.

“Because a song can take you back instantly to a moment, or a place, or even a person. No matter what else has changed in you or the world, that one song stays the same, just like that moment. Which is pretty amazing, when you actually think about it.”
— Sarah Dessen

“I like it when it rains hard. It sounds like white noise everywhere, which is like silence but not empty.”
— Mark Haddon, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time
“…At night I dream that you and I are two plants that grew together, roots entwined.”
— Pablo Neruda, Twenty Love Poems and Song of Despair
When that breeze is JUST right
After a long day.
After a hot day.
That summer breeze that just hits you at the most perfect, unexpected time.
There’s no better feeling.

The past few days, my mental exhaustion hit full capacity. But this afternoon I read one of my favorite books... and this passage REALLY hit me.
“I remember the velvet, other-wordly softness of your newborn body, your wide open eyes that came firm with the knowing that now there would be only after you, that from now on everything I am would be tied to the simple truth that you are.
You are.
You are, and because you are, I will be something other than the girl I was. My fate, from the moment of your birth and with all of my heart, is tied to the fact of you. It’s a beautiful truth- one that heals, and bends, and breaks, and challenges, one that I have raged against and clung to and been grateful for with a depth I couldn’t imagine before you. You are, and because you are, I am altered. You are, and because you are, I am yours.”
This resonated with me SO much.
Because being a stay at home mom is SO hard.
You feel isolated.
You feel lost.
You feel like you don’t even know yourself anymore.
Some days are longer than you can imagine.
But you also get to spend precious and limited bonding time with your babies, while their babies. Because the days really are long, but before you know it. You go from newborn, to an almost 10 month old, in the blink of an eye.
Thanking the mama who wrote this and opted to stay anonymous in this book- Because you really helped me cope with motherhood today. ❤️
