↳ Tyler gets out of bed to check on Sam
me finding out we’re finally getting another all stars
me seeing some of the cast list so far
we speculate that every season is all stars & now that it’s actually happening, i’m so nervous for inevitable disappointment
Let me be very clear: the only all star that should come back is the key wheel 😔
when hayden and janelle form a m*ga alliance and target the minorities, specifically minority women oh god please no
Season 2: Episode 4
This was a crazy one. It started off with Julie telling us that Justin was expelled. I was happy to see him gone, but not happy once I found out why he was expelled. He started kissing on Krista while she was so drunk that her speech was inaudible and then started threatening her. He picked up a dustpan and swung it at her and asked if she would be mad if he hit her with it. Then they started kissing again before he grabbed a butcher knife from the drawer and held it to her neck asking if she would be mad if he killed her. They kept kissing while he had the knife to her neck and he only put it back when other houseguests told him to. At the end of the episode Julie sat down with him and he honestly and truly didn’t understand why that was viewed as wrong which is worrying. It was painful to see him reexplain what happened and still not understand how that could be viewed as threatening. He said it wasn’t because she was laughing and they were kissing, failing to realize that she’s drunk so her judgement is going to be impaired. Sheryl, Bunky, and a few others were upset to see Justin go. Bunky said it felt like Justin committed suicide and he couldn’t stop it. Then, Sheryl called him a sweet and kind guy. I liked Sheryl but this really rubbed me the wrong way. How is someone who’s intimidating and threatening other houseguests kind and sweet? Either way, happy to see him gone. I didn’t like him from the start.
As for the vote, it was the first eviction and the first blindside. Sheryl ended up going home by a vote of 5-3. You could see the shock and horror on Mike’s face and, honestly, me too. I’m very sad to see Sherri go first, she was so nice. I feel like she would’ve been more of a floater though, so it’s tough. It was funny to see her walk outside without the applause that we see nowadays since there was no audience back then. It was sweet though, the evicted houseguests family used to fly out and see them, so Sherri’s 2 kids and mother were there when she got out. The last thing I’ll comment on is the jury. All evicted houseguests back then joined the jury. It had me questioning a lot. Does this mean that they’re not allowed to watch the season on TV? If they are allowed to, how would that be fair? If they’re not, it still doesn’t seem fair as they wouldn’t have been in the house all summer to know what’s going on. I guess we’ll either find out when the time comes or we won’t.
Well, there you have it. The first expulsion of BB and the first eviction of season 2. I told you all to buckle up! We’ve still got 25 episodes of season 2 left and I can’t wait to see where it all goes.
Season 2: Episode 3
This episode I found out that there’s no POV competitions yet, so the only competition was a luxury competition where the houseguests had to decide what they wanted for dinner, spell it with their bodies, and then Mike had to come out and guess what they’d spelled. He ended up guessing their word, filet, right so they won a filet mignon dinner. Other than that we just got to see the houseguests all talking about who they would vote out, Sherri or Nicole. It looks to me that everyone’s going to vote out Nicole. She’s a firecracker and if they leave her in the house she’s going to raise hell. She wants Will out more than anyone else and, after this episode, I can see why he’s called the ultimate puppet master. Will initiated a 24 hour fast and claimed that it was supposed to be a religious thing when in reality he did it as a test to see who had the most and least amount of willpower. He learned that Autumn had the least as she gave up 3 hours in and that Justin had more than he thought, not giving up until it had been over 24 hours. It was an incredibly smart move and already it seems that Will is running the house. Whatever Will says the houseguests follow. Even the ones who don’t like him like Nicole still did the fast knowing that he was doing it to puppeteer everyone.
An interesting thing happened in this episode that I’ve not seen in later seasons. Big Brother gave the houseguests a video camera and had them record a video tour of the house and then watch it with popcorn after. It wasn’t a competition or anything, more like a team-building thing more than anything. We got to see them all have fun with it, though, and it was a nice break from all of the tension about the looming eviction.
Bunky also told more houseguests that he was gay, including Kent who he was terrified of based on his past homophobic remarks. The two got in a heated discussion where Kent tried to say that Bunky lied to the whole house about being straight when he never said he had a wife. The other houseguests simply assumed that. Either way, they still ended the discussion with a hug. It broke my heart, though. Bunky was saying how his mom didn’t want him to be gay and he would pray every night telling God that if he can’t wake up straight he doesn’t want to wake up at all.
The last interesting thing about this episode was Kent getting into an argument with Justin. They literally were arguing with each other over a pillow. Kent didn’t want Justin to touch his pillow and Justin took it anyway and then got in Kent’s face about it. Kent mentioned in the DR that he was very intimidated by Justin and didn’t want to work with him anymore. He didn’t tell that to Justin though, so I wonder if we’ll see Kent still act like they’re working together.
Episode 4 is when we find out who’s evicted and I hope it’s Nicole. Some of the houseguests were saying that Sherri is a threat because she’s so well-liked and others were saying they were voting out Nicole. It seems very divided at the moment so we’ll just have to wait and see.
Season 2: Episode 2
We got to see the houseguest intros this episode, which are very bland compared to now. The fading visuals combined with the soft piano music could put me to sleep if they went on much longer. As far as the actual episode goes, it was pretty interesting. Mike made it a point in the diary room to say he’s here to play and ‘these people knew what they were signing up for.’ I love that. Nowadays everyone is so scared to make a move or to nominate anybody. Here it’s very cut and dry. I also had to laugh when at one point Kent fully discloses to Mike, the HOH, that he’s in an alliance with Justin. If you put this situation in later seasons, those 2 would be on the block so fast.
This episode also had a luxury competition. The houseguests had to dive into ‘mud’ (it looked like oatmeal) and find each others keys and then all 12 of them had to get their keys and go back to the start to win and the prize was the hot tub being unlocked. The houseguests did end up winning this and it was funny that Nicole dove in too considering earlier in this episode she talks about her phobia of being in the water with people. I would’ve figured mud would be worse.
Also in this episode we got to see Bunky come out to the ladies in the house. Autumn was the first person he told and she was so sweet about it, hugging him and iving him encouragement. Later, when he’s telling Monica, Mike listened in through the door and found out that Bunky was gay. He takes it pretty well too and says that he doesn’t care, so it was a ood episode for Bunky!
The nominations for eviction are Sherri and Nicole. Very happy to see Nicole up there since I, along with the rest of the house, can’t stand her. Sherri was put up to basically be a pawn, though Mike used different wording. The whole house loves Sherri so Nicole will definitely go. I don’t remember if there’s a power of veto competition in season 2 but we’ll find out next episode! If there is, hopefully Nicole doesn’t win it.
Season 2: Episode 1
Episode 1 was alright. It was nice to have almost a whole episode where everyone got along. Nicole and Justin already don’t like each other and Kent made some really homophobic remarks to Bunky not knowing he was gay which I really didn’t like, but other than that it was pretty mellow. There was a food and luxury competition where the houseguests did end up winning food for the week and Kent got a new car. Later, there was an HOH competition where Mike won. So far, my least favorite houseguest is Kent. It’s really interesting though that Will was already on some people’s radar. I guess that either didn’t last long or no one took the opportunity to take him out as I do know that he won this season. The house was interesting, too. There were no have-not competitions yet, so it was up to chance for who got a comfortable bed and who ended up with an army cot or a sleeping bag. Kent was the only one that ended up in a sleeping bag and after hearing his remarks and having him be so cold as to not have Autumn, the houseguest who didn’t even have a car, win the luxury/endurance competition, I’m kind of happy he ended up on the ground. He also chose to sit out during the houseguests playing truth or dare which got on Will’s radar. I hope he ends up going home soon. We’ll see who Mike puts up soon enough. I think my choice for nominees after episode 1 would be Kent and Nicole. To summarize, episode 1 was uneventful and some parts made me uncomfortable, the competitions were pretty boring, and everyone is getting along. It wasn’t a terrible episode but it wasn’t great either. My favorite houseguest so far is Bunky and my least favorite is Kent.
Season 2: First Impressions
Hardy “I believe life is an adventure.” Athlete, meh
Krista “The #1 drama queen” Potential to be good because of potential drama
Will (biased) Every day i walk a fie line between confidence and being cocky.” “I plan by episode 5 there’ll be a girl washing my clothes.” Dislike. Obnoxious and seems pretentious
Shannon “I’m the athlete.” Athlete, meh
Kent “I’m opinionated and if you want me to I’d be happy to get on your nerves” “There’s going to be freaks and weirdos and I’ll like to make fun of them.” Older, good for potential drama but otherwise meh
Monica “I am Brooklyn” Older. All I can think of is bb12’s Rachel: “I am Vegas.” but otherwise meh
Autumn “I’m only good when I’m bad” Cute! I feel like the guys will thirst after her though. Favorite so far.
Bunky “I’m creative, complex, and crazy” Good potential drama because of that crazy comment but i dont know what he means by complex. Could be annoying.
Sherri “I’m an experience you’ll never forget” Older, might be good for drama???
Mike (biased) “I like chilling with the ladies.” Obnoxious “ladies man” type
Nicole “You’re either going to love me or you’re going to hate me.” She seems like shes going to be dramatic and I can’t wait
Justin “I’m just incredible and just in case you didn’t know, now you do.” “I got my nice underwear for the ladies.” Least favorite. “Ladies man” type.
As my description says, I’m going to be reviewing every season of Big Brother (not including season 1)
Because I don’t remember the older seasons super well I’ll be posting first impressions up until season 12. I’ll make sure to list which ones are biased if I remember the houseguest.
My opinions will be based on the show as it aired, so if a houseguest was problematic on live feeds you can let me know, but all these reviews are based solely on what was aired!
My posts will be tagged “reviews” so if you follow me but don’t care about all that, feel free to blacklist it! Either way they’ll all be under read more links so I don’t clog your dash if you’re on desktop.
That’s about it! Buckle up, it’s going to be a long ride!
I keep deleting and remaking but I’m here to stay now! I’m a blog dedicated to CBS’ Big Brother! Like or reblog this if you’re also a big brother blog so I can follow people! :)
