believe me when i say... this is my LAST post as a big brother consumer... not just for this season, but for the series altogether. i cancelled my paramount+ subscription even after they tried to manipulate me into staying for $0.99/month. CBS is no longer getting my money. if i want to watch spongebob, prime video got it for free.
these big brother producers have absolutely found every reason to ruin the mid-season experience for superfans for the past four seasons with these inequitable, unnecessary twists that no one asked for. dyre fest and zombie week were ridiculous. jankie week i let slide, but THIS? this was absolutely for shock value.
if i were rachel reilly, i would cut ties with CBS and never look back after this. for someone who was not only playing the best game in the house compared to her winning season, this was an absolute injustice and a lazy way to evict someone without giving them a proper shot to defend themselves AFTER weeks of permanently making BB blockbuster a part of the game.
it does nothing but take away the fact that physical comps matter more than social and strategy to these producers. on top of that, half of the competitions on this show are too childish and overwhelmed with teenage humor for that to even be the fucking case.
not to mention, they're clearly phasing out live feeds by force-feeding viewers with that dumb BB unlocked shit to manipulate casuals into believing everything they see behind the edits. even though it's not her fault and i'm happy she's being acknowledged as one of the memorable modern icons of the show and it's a boost in her resume as a entertainment personality, it disappoints me that a veteran like taylor would even stand with this, too, if live feeds disappear.
live feeds are part of the reason why audiences have stood in the fucking trenches for her holding EVERY SINGLE PERSON she competed with accountable for how they treated her. it's an injustice to every victim of microaggressions, racism, misogyny, homophobia, and bullying on that show. they've been wanting to phase out feeds as soon as that ugly white boy said the n-word 2 seasons ago. with cutting the option to rewind, starting live feeds days after move-in, cutting live feeds for 24 hours or more until the west coast gets it...
it's absolute sabotage on their end and they know what they're doing. what i do know is that they're going to see the damage when a bunch of people actually give up on this show. julie chen will need to find a new summer hobby, and they can all fuck off. i'm done with this show.
i saw the red flags pre-season, i saw it all this season.
