“One of the things I learned in my season was how important it is to be vulnerable with people. I had a wall up for a while, and I was scared to let people in and see the real me because, honestly, I didn’t want to be rejected. I just wanted to be accepted. I think I had this ‘cool-girl’ mentality, and as that season went on, you know, Survivor just breaks you down, and I had no choice but to just be myself. It’s like this imposter syndrome, right? You wanna be someone who’s a bit tough, and you wanna be someone who’s sociable and likable and everything, but it actually puts up this wall from them getting to know the real you, and I think that when you’re vulnerable with people, they see part of themselves in your story.”
