Love?

Honestly, what is love? Is love giving up your own feelings for the others’ well being? Is it holding onto that hope that when they return from where they are, that they’ll be the same person as they were before, and you can enjoy yourselves as you did in the past? Or is love simply a joke made up of chemicals to fool your brain into thinking/doing dumb things? I honestly can’t figure out an answer, but whatever this ‘love’ is, I need it to stop. This thing that’s classified as an emotion is ruining my mind, and is causing me to think illogically. This stupid emotion is seriously causing me to go crazy, and I don’t know what to do.
