#PackThePark to make a return!!!!

Last year a campaign called #PackThePark was created to raise vital funds for Bath City FC. The successful campaign attracted over 1,000 visitors to Twerton Park. More than double the regular attendance for the season.

This was due to fans from other clubs coming over to show their support for the non league team. Fans from Bristol Rovers, Bristol City and Plymouth all came in their colours to show support with a scattering of other fans.

Because of the support after such short notice we have decided to do it again with more advanced planning. Three dates have been picked but subject to cup results this may change. These dates were chosen due to the fact neither City or Rovers are playing on these days.

Mangotsfield United 2 Bath City FC 0 wasn't the score I was expecting at cossham Street on a sunny Tuesday evening. Although it didn't help that Bath started the match with an unfamiliar starting XI. But that shouldn't take away from a Mangotsfield side that really wanted to win this game. During the first half Mangotsfield dominated by pressuring the City defence and out muscling the midfield. That did change in the second half though with a few Bath City regulars coming of the bench. But Mangotsfield were more than capable soaking up the pressure with a well organised defence. Bath will have to learn from their mistakes as they will struggle in the conference south playing like that.

Mangotsfield Preview

On Tuesday 6th August Bath City will take on Mangotsfield United at Cossham Street. 

Bath have had a very consistent pre season so far with only 1 loss, But they have also had only 1 win in 5 games and 3 draws. The loss coming against a Swansea XI side and the win against Welsh premier League side Carmarthen Town. The results look even better when you consider most of the teams Bath have played are Football League clubs.

Mangotsfield have had a mixed pre season with 3 losses and 2 wins in 5 games. Their most notable win coming against Welton Rovers winning 4- 0. but then they managed to give up a 0 - 2 lead to Buckland Athletic and ended up losing 4 - 2. 

Bath will be looking at getting another win under their belts before the start of the season with Mangotsfield looking for a more impressive win against better opponents to try and boost their confidence.

Time to start over!

The New season is beginning and what a season it will be in the west country! Bristol City drop into league one and Yeovil jump into the championship! Can they both do well in their new leagues?! Rovers and Cheltenham will want to battle it out of league two and Forest Green Rovers will want to get into league football!

And Bath City?! Well they will fight to stay in the conference south. Will they manage it? Will they push for promotion like they once did? Only time will tell.

I will try and keep this page updated through the season and hopefully keep you informed of the Romans and non league football and hopefully we might be able to pack the park again!

No more home Voodoo!!!

Bath City have managed their first home win since 3rd November 2012! They managed the 3-0 home win over Tonbridge Angels. With Bath already 2-0 up the Angels had a man sent off causing them even more problems before the 3rd goal wrapped up the game nicely!

Defeat at Twerton!!!!

Fans of Bath City will be wondering what they can do to get a win at Twerton Park! Bath City's away form has been amazing recently but they still haven't won a home game since the 3rd November after falling 2-3 to Dorchester on a cold Tuesday night. If Bath want to keep a good league position they will need to sort out their inconsistent defence!

Bath City v Dorchester Town

Tomorrow Bath City FC will be taking on Dorchester Town who managed to pull of a surprise win on the weekend against League leaders Salisbury City!

Bath will be hoping that they can keep yet another clean sheet with the impressive Jason Mellor in goal.

Dorchester have only managed 1 win in their last 5 games and have lost both away matches, but with Bath not winning at home since the 3rd of November this could become a very close match

Bath City hold Boreham

Bath City FC managed to hold Boreham Wood to a second 0-0 draw this season. Even though they didn't manage to score Bath should be happy with a point and a very solid performance. Keep an eye on this teams young keeper!

11th placed Bath City will be travelling to Meadow Park this Saturday to face 5th placed Boreham Wood.

City managed to get all 3 points from Farnborough last week and will be looking to upset the odds again today!

Boreham Wood have been a difficult team to play against at Meadow Park after only conceding 6 goals at home so far. But city did manage to hold them to a 0-0 draw at Twerton Park in their first encounter.
