have you met CIENNA BUR’RIN yet? SHE is a TWENTY-SIX year old CIS HUMAN FEMALE. they’re originally from BATUU and now show loyalty to THE REBELLION. they are best known for being a MECHANIC, and i hear they’re pretty METICULOUS yet also UNTRUSTWORTHY at times; i hope they survive the galactic civil war.
THE PAST
There were so many things Cienna had wished for. A stable home. A loving family. The force would be cool. Even just... anything that was her own she could keep. That wasn’t the life she had gotten on Batuu. Adopted as far as she knew into a home where she was pitted against her brothers, there would be nothing for her unless she came home at the end of the day with a profit of some sort. If she didn’t, there was no point in even going home that night. To her parents she was nothing more than a tool to use, an extra pair of hands to do more work, to steal and barter and just make money. Cienna wished she could have had the support of her brothers. As far as she knew, Tyr was the only child that was actually their parents. Her and Calo were adopted, if you could call it that. Something in Cienna told her that that may not have even been the case. After all there were enough people and families who stopped by Batuu and never returned.
Their parents had made them out to be competitors. You had to be better than the other ones. Tyr had an advantage, one that Cienna was always jealout of. The force, move objects without even touching them? It was no wonder her and Calo were always left in the dust when it was time to return home. Even so, Cienna had dreamed of having it for herself. She had heard many travelers stories about the jedi, about bringing peace to the galaxy, of having swords made of light. One even gifted Cienna a kyber crystal of her own, something she had hid for her parents.
When Tyr left them to join some jedi school that hit her even harder. He was able to escape their shitty life, live a dream that Cienna always had. With her eldest brother gone Calo and her were pitted against one another more to make up for what was lost with Tyr gone. Nothing but work and anger and frustration and... Loneliness.
Because Cienna had no one to turn to in her problems she turned to droids to keep her company. She was always a sly girl with a good memory and keen eye for detail and problem solving, every moment she could she spent tinkering on droids in the mechanics shop. After all, droids wouldn’t betray her. They wouldn’t leave, they wouldn’t die, they would actually listen to her.
So life continued like so for years until Cienna was a teenager. A first order attack on their village left Cienna watching her home destroyed and parents killed in front of her. She would have died too if it weren’t for the resistance showing up. They saved her, brought her to their base and gave her a new home, a new start. Here she worked as a mechanic, working heavily on droids and ships, finding happiness she had never known in her work and in friendships she never thought possible.
THE PRESENT
Waking up in 5 aby was nothing more than a rude awakening. She felt like a teenager again, alone in a fight that wasn’t hers, the galaxy crumbling around her. It wasn’t long before Cienna located the rebellion and joined as a mechanic while trying to figure out how to get back to her rightful time, or at least figure out how to start anew once again.
PERSONALITY
The first thing anyone notices about Cienna is her anger, ferocity. Growing up in the life she did made her distrusting and secretive. Part of Cienna still believes the only ones Cienna cis critical and hardworking, usually staying at her shop for days at a time, not leaving until everything is done. Loyal to the resistance for saving her life and giving her a real home, she would do anything for her fellow resistance members even if it looks as if she wouldn’t.
