During her whole session with Dr. Raynor, Erica was distracted. Her answers to the questions were late, and when the therapist asked her what was going on, she just shrugged it off, and mumbled some lame excuse that she honestly couldn’t recite again if her life depended on it. The hour seemed to drag on forever,and as soon as her hour was up, the blonde tried her best to keep a normal pace out of the office, before breaking into a jog, knowing she’d have to find something to change into before meeting Bucky.

Luck was on her side when she found a vendor selling the cliche hoodies, and after paying a stunning twenty five dollars for a shirt she was most likely never wearing again, she ducked into a public restroom to switch out her stained top for the warm hoodie. Ten minutes later she walked into the cafe, and her face fell slightly when she didn’t see Bucky around, but figuring she was early, she found an empty table tucked away in a corner, with a view of the carousel. Taking a seat, she waited, tapping her nails on the worn wood of the table top, making sure not to keep glancing at the door, so when an all too familiar voice sounded behind her, she nearly jumped out of her own skin.

“Oh, no,I just got here,” she said with a small smile. “Please, have a seat, unless you’d like to find another table. I just grabbed my usual one, but I wouldn’t mind moving if you’d prefer it…”

With his little notebook, Bucky was able to scratch a name off his list considering it had been sitting there for a while. Of course Dr. Raynor had a set of rules for him to go by, one being, no one gets hurt. He made sure with everything he did no one got hurt. He was doing the another thing that should make the woman proud and that was making friends with Erica or was it something more. He wasn't sure in that moment because he was trying figure out what he wanted.

Making her jump at his words alone was the one thing he didn't have planned because he thought she would have known he was coming ahead of time. Or maybe he was walking silent like assassin would do when hunting for a target. He wanted to apologize for scaring her a bit, but he also see that she was not affected by him too much by how she greeted him. He also liked where she picked for the two of them to sit since it was advantage for him to peek at who was coming in and out the diner.

A smile appeared on his face again. "I don't mind where we sit." He moved to take the seat in front of her when she offered him the seat. He folded his own hands on the table with another smile appearing. "I hope Dr. Raynor didn't talk your ear off today." He chuckled some. He was trying to start a conversation whether it was something familiar for the both of them.

Erica huffed, but chuckled under her breath as she glanced up at Bucky through her lashes, her bottom lip tucked between her teeth. “I don’t think we’re ever supposed to find out what she’s writing down anyway,” she shrugged, wrapping her jacket a little tighter around herself. The New York breeze was biting, and her now stained, wet shirt wasn’t helping in the slightest.

However, with her cheeks heating up, so did the rest of her body. She honestly couldn’t believe the fact that she’d just attempted to ask out her ridiculously hot neighbor, who also was a World War Two hero. And yet, here she was, and the fact that he even agreed to it had her heat up even more. She stammered as she looked up at him, and nodded. “Ehm— oh, I mean, that’s great. It’s called Thanks a Latte, and it’s right next to the Carousel in the Brooklyn Bridge Park down there,” she explained before glancing at her watch, her eyes widening at the time. “I gotta get up there, I’m sorry, but I’ll see you in a bit, okay?” She said, before giving him a small wave and sprinting into the building and towards the elevators to get to her session on time.

And ninety minutes later, Erica stepped into the small cafe, burying her nose into the collar of the hoodie she’d bought from a street vendor to replace her ruined shirt. The I heart New York hoodie wasn’t really her style, but it was better than the brown stained t shirt that she’d shoved into her backpack. Shrugging out of her leather jacket, she glanced around the place, looking for the familiar face she’d been fawning over since she was twelve.

There was going to be no way Bucky would be able to see the Doc's writing because she had nothing to write down since he stopped her most of the time. "I know. She might write things we did not tell her." Since his body heat changed to keep him warm, he didn't have to worry about getting cold like the average human did.

He gaze over her face to see she was blushing at his words, even if it was just asking for coffee at a local shop. He must of still have that affect on women, even a century later which did give him a confidence boost. "I know where that is." He smiled at her, even finding her stutter to be adorable. "I'll see you, too." He watched her into the building before writing down a little note in his notebook and placed it inside of his pocket. He went off to do a little errands since he had time to do so.

Since he wasn't far from the meeting spot, he walked his way over to the coffee shop with knowing he wanted to get out of the public eye. He took a deep breathe as he got close to the place because he was always nervous, even if it was just having coffee with someone. He stepped inside of the place that smelled like coffee and baked goods. He glanced around until he found the person who he was looking for. Erica who was already sitting down at a table. He walked over to her with a smile on his face to mask the nervousness he was feeling in the moment. “I hope you weren’t waiting too long.”
