i feel sorry for all of the kids that got their blogs infected with cockslinger's bots. we - as adults - may just raise a brow and move on, but i can imagine that suddenly getting 20+ rape and murder threats a day being pretty damaging for a young teenager's psyche.

it's not normal and tumblr pretends not to see it, but when minors on their platform get harassed by a swarm of anonymous accounts, all wishing them death and brutal rape, that's literally a crime by most law systems. not to mention the moral side of it.

@staff how do you feel about little girls and boys being unconsentually exposed, multiple times a day for who knows how long, to explicit scenarios of them being raped and killed, made a sex slave, accused of grooming or pedophilia?

some of you may be parents yourselves. how would you feel about your children being targeted and bombarded with the kind of messages below? just because some time ago a radfem reblogged a cute cat picture from their blog, now they're threatened with sexual violence and death. it's your fault too.

@staff They swarmed the notes of one of my posts. While I was blocking and reporting them, I saw them under the posts of children posting harmless fanart of their favorite video games and cartoons. I saw them on a vegan cupcake recipe.

Can you imagine being a 13 year old and being met with hundreds of messages like this on your my little pony drawing? This is actually insane.

I admittedly don't know how exactly situations like this are handled in terms of law, but I did see some other people mention the point has been reached to circumvent tumblr and actually file a complaint here: https://complaint.ic3.gov/

@staff @tumblr @support I thought you all were responsible for proper moderation. This website is so severely unregulated that it hurts. 2018 porn ban? What porn ban? There's so much porn, including one that can fall under the CP category (before someone jumps me, that's the legal term used in my country). Promotion of pedophilia left and right? Aren't you supposed to respect the laws of EU members? Then let me enlight you, in Poland public (which includes online as Internet in public space) promotion of pedophilia (which will include obviously porn, but also romanticisation in writing, lolisho, kodocon, shota, lolis, whatever else shit pedos come up with) is illegal. exactly!! @staff you're allowing one (most probably) user to verbally assault, harass and bully thousands of people - mainly women and children - on your platform. you're breaking the law in most countries of EU, not to mention USA. I wonder - how your fun and easygoing image as moderators of this platform will look when this thing gets media attention? because everything was just fine a couple months ago, the blind eye was put on everything. you're allowing thousands of minors to be abused on a day to day basis here and pretend not to see it.

your silence and negligence is enabling this kind of thing to happen. you know your community very well, it was always a place that attracted mainly young women and girls who found a space here to talk about their mental issues without any filter. this is how it's always been. now imagine what kind of harm it can cause to suddenly flood these individuals with hundreds of rape, death, mutilation and suicide scenarios, day by day. you're partially compliant in anything that happens because of it, due to your absence of action.

and if wellbeing and safety of your users is not as important to you, then imagine how your quirky fandom platform will be portrayed in articles and reddit threads once it gets out.
